Anyone know this driver's seat is avilable in the US? I've seen them in pictures of overseas cars, but not sure about over here. They would look nice in a Z!

There is a 240Z? in Blue Thunder. Frank, his girlfriend driving and her son miss their turn and she whips the Vega they are in around on a one-way street, one of the cars that's dodging them is a Z.

What needles should i use
Hey Bruce, since you work at Ztherapy, can I get some advice. I'm planning to use a 280 bottom end with a E-31 head, should be between 10 and 10.5 to 1 compression, a hotter cam, hopful bigger valves. What needle and nozzle combo in SU's would you say to use? I know triple webers or the like would be best, but want to avoid the $$$ and hassle of them. Also would you say 10.5 to 1 is to much for pump premium (93 octane) gas? Thanx for your input!:classic:

Loss of power after high speed run
Do you think that maybe some trash or gunk in the bottom of the tank might have moved and blocking the fuel pick-up inthe tank?

Nissan racing on Spike TV
Yea , I saw most of the show, but not really much on Z's. They interviewed Adam Corolla, who used to be one of the hosts of The Man Show, who's a datsun nut and had a BRE 510 replica race car. Had a more modern SJ20? engine in it. That was the bomb! Loved to have had that!

What Datsun steering wheel is this?
Looks like the one that was in my 76 B210, but with polished spokes. Maybe out of a 200SX around that same year?

Rear hatch vents?
On the first Zs, (Series I, Most are 70's, some 69's or 71's depending when they were sold), the vents in the hatch were for fresh air outlets from in side the car. After that, the vents were moved to the sides with the Z emblems serving as the vents. I think I've read that if you smell fumes in the car it could be from bad weather stripping around the hatch.

K&N Question
Most just put a small breather filter on the valve cover. Not sure about the paper thingy you're talking about, can't picture it. Check these pics out, might help you.

Interior Ergonomics
Well, I've always thought that if it was positioned to one side or the other to keep it out of the way of the driver, at least for the home market. I'm here in the US and I know most of the cars here if it's not centered then it's to the right. I've owed a '90 240SX and have a '95 Prelude and they are to the left. That made me think it was for Japanese home market. My brother's '91 Z28 is to the right. As far as it bothering me, I'm a small guy too so it does'nt get in my way but my cousin whose a big guy says it rubs his leg. When it's on the driver side, I just use it for a hand rest. Maybe the Z wasn't built with just the US market in mind, but since Mr. K was leading Datsun over here at the time, I think designing for US market high on the list. My 2 cents anyway!

Weber carbs
Yea, thanx. They should be 40mm throttle bores. I have some Dellortos that are the same. Would like to have 44 or 45s if I can find some in my budget. (That's always the trick, ain't it! ) Or might just stick with the SUs, don't know yet. Thanx for the info.

Weber carbs
By what I've read and seen in pics look on the top of the carb under the wing nut ( Like in you closeup pics WEBER is above the nut ), There should be some number and letters stamped there, like 40 or 45 DCOE or the like
