Ignition
Here's the deal. I lost the keys to my car about a month ago. I need to either replace the whole ignition or buy just the key cylinder. Only question is, do I need the key to get the cylinder out? My step-dad thinks I do, but I'm sure somebody knows on here. Thank you.

Building just for function?
Thank you for everybody's advice/opinions/etc. In my case I'm pretty much "doing what works". I've had my car for around two years, yet, I've never driven it. The day I bought it, the battery died, and I began taking it apart etc. So I'm doing whatever I can to get it running and on the road. I'm very anxious to drive it and have it look good as well. I'm glad I'm not the only one doing whatever it takes, thank you guys. You guys have been like family to me, and for a teenager like myself in a such a presitgious car family, its guys like you that always make me feel welcome. Thank you again.

Building just for function?
I was just wondering if anybody else was just building their Z to just be functional. For example, since I know I'll never have a show car on my hands and I don't really want a show car, I'm just doing what works. My engine bay was yellow, now its black. Since I can't pull my engine out, I did the next best thing. I did this with some sandpaper, rags, paint thinner, and Rustoleum Gloss Black spraypaint. Its not the prettiest thing, but it works. Is anybody else building with that philosophy in mind?

Except, I lost them at a concert a few towns over. I called the venue, and they looked around, and didn't find anything. That was the only place I went that day...

I lost to a Honda CRX...or did I?
I mean, by all means, I hate Hondas, but I have a story. My step-dad's friend has a 600HP+ Corvette and was crusing along at 80 on the freeway. A little Honda Civic comes rolling up, nods at him, and they both take off, before the Corvette driver can blink, the Civic is gone. SOME people know what they're doing. I've also witnessed a Neon take out an STi.

How to Ideas for Flush turn Signals
I'm taking out the rubber gasket, sucking the markers to the body more, then running a bead of silicone behind the chrome piece and the edge of the lens itself. This makes it stick out a hell of a lot less. That's the cheap easy way to do it, but if you want them FLUSH, that's different, haha.

Barrett Jackson Auction, Scottsdale
As of now, I doubt we'll 510 go for a substantial amount of money. They're worth nearly $10k less than the 240Z, only because the 240's are more collectable and desirable. I just find it odd, considering 510's are harder to find, and REALLY hard to get parts for.

black primer
Possibly. Depending on how much you want the color to pop it's going to look darker than it should. For the best look, you might want to spray it with grey or white primer. Which I guess you can always do later.

Barrett Jackson Auction, Scottsdale
I just ran a search, the most expensive 240Z sold on Barrett-Jackson was$75,600. It was completely original, not that great of a picture. <img src="http://www.barrett-jackson.com/images/carjpg/s/s3/s3015653/S3015653_block.jpg">. The other one was $22,680. <img src="http://www.barrett-jackson.com/images/carjpg/2005bjcca/2/617/2005BJCCA2_617_34.jpg">, here's the motor <img src="http://www.barrett-jackson.com/images/carjpg/2005bjcca/2/617/2005BJCCA2_617_Eng.jpg">

Barrett Jackson Auction, Scottsdale
I'm watching it right now and a 1950 GM Futerliner Tour Bus just sold for $4.1 million, shattering the 1954 Oldsmobile F88 record of $3 million. A 240Z will happen someday. I hope.
