I've got a '72, and a completely crushed, dead, '73 next to it. If it wasn't crushed, I would be restoring it, because I happen to like the collapsable steering column. ANYWAYS. Any 240Z is good, just find a gem and make it your own.

It didn't have to be fast, my parts car got hit at 25MPH and is completely crushed in the front, hence it being a parts car.

I can't give you all of the window trim because I'm using the hatch off of that car and the windshield. I have the tool box doors for sure, and I will check on the washer bottle.

Yeah, I was confused about the same thing, but they run underneath the fenders.

EScalon - I only have the sun visors, everything else is pretty shot. The visors are pretty good. I'll figure out a price and stuff when I get home from school.

71datsunZ - Someone beat you to the control panel. I have really worn out vent emblems, I have side turn signal metal parts, I have the tool box doors, and specifically what window trim (which windows). Also, how many turn signal metal parts do you need? agemeansnothing - I have the center consol (but its for an automatic). I also have an oil cap. - Ian

The bumper doesn't protect much anyways. I like it without the bumper. At least on a 240Z, its held on by just a few bolts and is there for looks, they're thin as hell and do nothing. Keep it off of there man, looks killer.

I have the screw to hold on the shifter to an Auto. trans.

That's mainly because 240Z's are older and have taken years more abuse before a 280Z came out.

I would rather have the lighter car. Sure, everyone swaps out the motor, for either the L28 or some Chevy V8, but I love the good ol' L24. The serial numbers match on the body and the motor, and I'm very happy of that. 240Z started it all, its a gorgeous car, and it will never go out of style. Even though my 240Z looks like a retarded kid took a chainsaw to it, I know after I finish the body work and get it painted it'll be stellar. I wouldn't get that same feeling out of a 280Z, its just the bigger car, and I personally don't like that.

Wow, looks like a lot of work, but totally worth it. BUT, the question still stands. Will the doors leak if it rains?

If I shave off the rain gaurds above the doors, will the doors leak?

Yeah, more expansion would be grand. I'm doing the body on my 240Z right now, but would like to switch over to manual in the future.

...if I were to switch out my automatic transmission in my '72 240Z, for a manual, what all besides the transmission would need to be changed?

I just need to get rid of it, if I get $50, swell, I mean, sure, the more money the better, but you're right. I mean damn, my 240Z I'm actually working on has an automatic, I wish it had a manul, but it doesn't...
