How much...
No, shipping at buyers expense was kinda the plan.

How much...
Well, it runs fine. New plugs and an oil change might not hurt. The carbs. need to be re-jetted. Other than that its fine.

I've got a 1973 240Z motor with an automatic transmission, and I need to sell it. How much should I sell it for? - Ian

240Z with a Sunroof
Yeah, I have one and I don't even want one, haha. I like it so much better with a solid roof, but whatever.

240Z with a Sunroof
I know this is going to be a stupid question to most. Was there ever an option for a sun roof in the 1972 240Z's? Just wondering...because I have one... - Ian

Why the Z
I'm restoring a Z based on one thing, the car is beautiful. Sure, I don't have the perfect car to start with, but I have it all invisioned in my head on how it's going to turn out. The smooth lines, the deep gauges in the dash, a coupe, I mean, what's not to love. Do what you want, I'm not going to judge you. But don't forget on how gorgeous your car would look after some time and money. - Ian

Change of Plans
If this is concerning the 1973, here you go: - The interior panels are in good shape, but the vinyl on the seats is torn, and the dash is cracked. The color of the interior is black. - The transmission is an automatic. - Ian

Change of Plans
Well, by taking a second look at my 1973 240Z, its too structurally damaged in the front to proceed on restoring it. So, I'm back to my 1972. I would like to sell everything I can out of the 1973, so PLEASE let me know. Sorry if you contacted me for parts out of my 1972, hopefully I can help you with 1973 parts now. - Ian

1973 240 owner, back in the fold...
I've got a 1973 as well, and its definately a plus (for safety reasons). The 1973 was the first year it had fire retardent interior and a collapsable steering column. - Ian

Worried....how do u protect ur z from being stolen
Another idea (I just thought of this), a lot of Formula One cars have hydraulic jacks built into the bottom of the car, for quick tire changes. If you were to install these AND have a kill switch, you could prop the car up just enough for the wheels not to touch and take out the key for the killswitch. Even if they start it, its not going anywhere, but this would be very expensive.

Pics of my restoration (finally!)
Very nice. I'm not sure about the blue interior, it definately wouldn't be my first choice, but it still looks nice. I'm fond of the painted springs and calipers, it definately adds to the look of the cars.

Glovebox Door
Yeah, my 240Z has metal hinges as well.

Worried....how do u protect ur z from being stolen
I'm most definately putting an alarm in my Z. I'm also going to be installing a kill-switch, so I can disable the car when not in use. I'm also going to be shaving off all of the key holes on the car, everything will open by remote. - Ian

I got my new beauty ('73 240Z)
Yeah, that's about it.

I got my new beauty ('73 240Z)
The only structural things that are damaged are the front pieces that the headlight cases mount to (but may be able to be bent back and reinforced, then the cross member in front of the radiator needs to be cut out, and I just need to weld in a brand new piece. The '72 is another story. The passenger side is pushed too far in to align the door, so its my new parts car.

My 71' 240z project ... =)
Damn man, you beat me to it. I was going to make a carbon fiber dash and tail light plate...

I got my new beauty ('73 240Z)
Hey, I got it for free man.

I got my new beauty ('73 240Z)
Well, she's got a bit of damage, but there's a 1972 Datsun 240Z with a good front end that will serve as my parts car for this new one. It runs though, so that's good

What do you think of this look?
Well, let me know if you need any parts or anything.
