What happened to my parking lights?
The tail lights are on a different fuse than the parking, turn, etc. Try replacing that fuse as well, as it is the most common reason for them not to work.

I miss you...
Hope your feeling better and back in your Z soon!

Yes, DAS (or most auto transporters) will do door-to-door, but of course it will cost more $$$. You could always do door-to-terminal as well if you are close to a DAS terminal.

'70 S30 Owner's Manual - what's it worth?
Do an eBay search to get an idea of what some people will pay for them. Most of these go for $20 or less from what I've seen. And yes, Nissan reprinted the 1972 (IIRC) manual in 1997 (possibly for the Vintage Z program?).

...What's up with my hubcaps?
I too like the factory/stock hubcap look, if I changed from my slots, it's likely what I would go back to.

New plates
I went with vintage plates on my MGB, but unfortunately, GA stopped producing year specific plates in 1971 and went with stickers for each year after that, so I just went with 240ZED on the Z.

Exterior refresh of my red 240Z
Great news! Looks like they'll be shooting paint and you'll have her back in no time! I've heard that shops actually prefer owners who come in and check on their cars, and that it actually helps keep things moving along! :classic:

New Guy. Fairlady project - Atlanta
Alex, Yeah, I always call before I head over there, just to make sure he is not out getting parts or something. The Fairlady I was refering to was indeed the green one. And yes, it was very likely my Yellow car that you saw there :classic: I'm sure Eddie will take good care of you!

It's all fun and games....
Jalopnik reports stated that the reported cause of death was heart failure, rather than anything mechanical or safety related.

Nissan Repro Program Car on Ebay
Yes, I believe that is bobc's beautiful car. I wish I had the space and the $$$ for it! I think of it this way, if I wanted a new Z, I could buy a 350/370, or I could buy this "new" 240 for about the same cost. One will go down in value after purchase, one will hold its value, or likely go up. No contest for me, I'd get the 240! :classic:

Hagerty Ins. ?
I've never thought of Hagerty as restrictive? They do not have any mileage limits, and as long as you're driving your car for pleasure (because you want to - versus because you have to), there are no issues. Also, you must have a garage to keep the car in. Also, "stated value" does not guarantee you would get that amount for your car were it stolen or totaled, whereas agreed value does? Exerpt from the following site: http://insurance.families.com/blog/actual-cash-value-stated-amount-or-agreed-amount (note: one of several that come up in a quick google search with this same information) "Stated Amount or Stated Value This policy is often misunderstood, and frequently used for collector cars. Most insurance agents represent stated amount or state value policies as being the same as "Agreed Amount." It is not! A "Stated Amount" policy usually says the insurance company will pay the lesser of: The Stated Amount or The cost to repair the covered auto not to exceed the "Stated Amount" or The "Actual Cash Value" The "Stated Amount" helps determine the premium cost but is no guarantee of the settlement amount of the car if a total occurs. The "Actual Cash Value" is explained above and allows the claims adjuster to determine the loss often for less than the "Stated Amount". Most insurance agents are not aware of this claims detail. Many agents, unaware of the actual policy language, will insist if your collector car is stolen or totaled, you will receive the stated value. They are Wrong! Agreed Amount or Agreed Value Policies are the only guarantee in writing of the amount you will receive if your car is stolen or totaled. There is no "Actual Cash Value" clause in the policy. The "Agreed Amount" policy says the insurance company will pay you, the lesser of: The "Agreed Amount," or The cost to repair the covered auto, not to exceed the "Agreed Amount". With an "Agreed Amount" auto policy, your agent and you must agree together what the "Agreed Amount" should be before the policy is issued. The "Agreed Amount" should represent the true market value of the car at the time the policy is written. If the market value changes during the policy period, the "Agreed Amount" can be adjusted to reflect any market changes during the policy period and should be reviewed at renewal." So, whereas your "regular" insurance company may give you a stated value policy for the same cost as an agreed value policy from the likes of Hagerty, you are not getting the same coverage!
