  1. Alex, You're probably pretty close to Eddie Radatz's Z-Car shop at 961 E. Shallowford Road (off Canton Hwy/Rt5). He has a few 280ZX's sitting around for parts, so if you need some (US spec) parts or work done, I can recommend him highly. When I was there a couple of weeks ago, he had a Japanese Fairlady (260 or 280) there he was working on for someone as well. His number is 770.926.6609.
  2. Excellent 510, looks really sharp! Makes me want to get one :classic:
  3. Very nice car. If I had somewhere to keep it, I'd love to pick it up. I'd have to go back to the steel wheels and caps though@ :classic:

Check out the "Wheels and Tires" gallery for lots of photos with different wheel options: http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=2

Welcome and congrats on your new Z!
  6. Congrats on a successful operation, glad to hear (and see) the patient is doing well! I'll look forward to seeing the pics of the surgery in progress! :classic:

Looks interesting, and good price as well. I've subscribed also! Al - after you put the subscription in your PayPal "cart", you just need to click the continue shopping link (or just go back to the subscription page), and add anything else you want to purchase (like issue #1) and you should be able to checkout with both items in one transaction :classic:

Personally, I used the Photo Gallery quite a bit when I first got my Z and needed to get some new wheels on her ASAP. I wanted to see what different wheel types looked like on the 240Z, and was able to see plenty of options on both the "Wheels and Tires" gallery: http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=2 as well as the Members gallery: http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showmembers.php?cat=500 This really was a great help in deciding what wheels I wanted to put on the Yellow Z! :classic: Also, this is by far the most civil board I read on a regular basis. Other car and hobby boards seem to have much more bickering, etc that we do here. Guess that just shows that Z-car enthusiasts are a great bunch overall! :classic:

Loose batteries are definately asking for trouble! I agree with Rick and David,, a secure battery should be one of the first things (like before driving the car) that is taken care of with a new aquisition.

Glad to hear the trip is going well so far! I'm sad to see the car go, but at least it's going to a good home and another Z enthusiast! I think the Yellow Z is happier now as it will get driven more :classic: Regarding the "anti-jinx" in the thread Gary mentions, I've fed the monster plenty, so the car should be just fine for some time! :classic: Enjoy the rest of the trip, let us know when you've arrived home safely! I'll send you the "list" next week when I get a chance!

You can do a search and you will find info on 17" wheels. You may also want to check hybridZ (http://forums.hybridz.org/) as they may have more info on 18" wheels.

Yes, I remember this car on eBay previously. Looking at the 1st photo and in #17, it seems the passenger side door and front fender are slightly different shades?

Welcome to the club! Lots of useful info here to help you get your new ride into whatever condition you like. Be sure to post some photos, as we love to look at cars :classic:

Randy, Which exhaust tip ended up working the best? EDIT: Sorry, I see you started a different thread on this!
  16. Since there is an exception to every rule, wanted to share this! Well, this AM, driving to work in the Lime Z, I see a black 350Z over in the far right lane (I am in the far left - 5 lane highway). He sees me after a few minutes, and speeds up and starts maneuvering through the traffic to catch up to me. He makes a point of pulling up along side me, and we exchanged the 'ol thumbs up! He then worked his way back to the right lane to exit. I noticed as he pulled away that he had replaced all his 350Z badges with Fairlady badges, so I figure he must be a Z enthusiast, and maybe that is why he recognized my 240Z :classsic: Interestingly, I was quite pleased with the encounter. It was neat to have both the first and the last models driving next to each other, almost as good as finding another classic Z on the road. As I saw him maneuvering to catch me, I said to the 240Z "here comes one of your grandkids to say "hi"!" :classic:

Based on the photos being taken here in Atlanta at a local collector's house (that's even his Dog in the photo), I am pretty confident that the person selling it has owned it for less than a year. He also seems to have purchased another collector car (not a Z) from the same local collector. Regarding his feedback, if you click on the seller's feedback from the auction, it will take you to their feedback as a seller. All of the seller's 5 feedbacks have been as a buyer, so if you click that tab you can see them.

Welcome, even though you're only introducing yourself to the west coast/seattle group

I have 15x7 A/E Sprint wheels (the new 15" version of the common 5 slot wheel seen on lots of Z's) with 195/65/15 tires and they fit just fine with no problems:
  20. You can always swap out the AT for an MT, not too hard to do.

Randy, I understand how you feel about not wanted to part with the orange Z. I am in the process of selling my Lime '72, and have mixed feelings about it as well! The good part is I know it will be going to a good home where it will get all of the Z attention, instead of having to share it with another Z as it does now :classic:

    Happy Easter everyone!
  25. Sorry Bart, I think you've got the exchange rate backwards. Today, the exchange is 1 euro = $1.55 or so. I'll buy your euros all day long if you give me 1.51 euros for $1!! :classic: So the asking price of the car is around $15,500.
