  1. i'd just remind any yanks (who are not stationed overseas) to think again before they privately importing a car besides extra and unforseen costs, there is a good chance of losing interest or running out of funds between the time you make the decision to import and by the time you actually get it

did you get a pic yet?

Can somebody please post or pm me a pic of the back side (facing the steering column) of a 240Z Grant steering wheel adapter? TIA
  4. right. private property of course my car was sitting in the previous owner's driveway, and people began banging on the door as soon as they noticed a for sale sign on it
  5. i must have it! it matches my avatar
  6. i recently went through a similar ordeal selling a different datsun, so i'm pretty sure that you won't sell the car as a package for the "right" price best bet is to sell "as is" via a local fs ad or even with a for sale sign on it with your ballpark asking price, then park outside (somewhere safe of course!) to expose the car to a wider range of potential buyers realize that the same guy who is willing to pay your asking price, may not be the same guy who wants a gt-r clone, or maybe he is but cannot afford those bits at the moment if he doesn't want the gt-r parts, they can easily be auctioned off on eBay or sold to other forum members, or you might keep them for a future gt-r clone project
  7. what colour is that? looks like aqua from the photos

yeah thanks. i already asked damon if he could look into that, but the seller wouldn't separate, and nobody really wants to have to dispose of all the other glass and just send me the one piece

i'd like a rh driver's glass if it's not all scratched up. clear, not blue tint

ken+mary, i believe you poasted on datman forum? if so then i believe you have a 4dr c110? then be aware that the front flares may fit but not the rears, unless you already plan to have them tailored to fit by a bodyman as for wrecking yard cars, i still need a rh driver's side glass, no blue tint so keep your eyes peeled fellas! btw, there's a kgc110 still fs on ebay
  11. that's why i poasted the pic as i was thinking grant sells their hubs in other countries (maybe mine isn't even made in the usa?) :surprised anyway, i'll have to drill and remount the cancel posts as was done to yours btw, the original steering wheel is the heaviest i've ever seen on a datsun
  12. well then i guess i'll need the same hub as you have, because the momo hub combined with the momo/nardi adapter will stick out too much here's a pic of the grant hub, and although there are five holes for the cancel posts, none of them are correct for the 240k, but maybe new holes can be drilled on that center raised ring btw, has anybody had to deal with a frozen steering column tilt lever
  13. can you post a pic of the mod? i'm looking at the hub adapter and thinking there's no area to fit new posts closer together if there's room to install new posts, then i may need an aussie hub adapter (btw, the grant hub adapter comes with an extra spring and attachment to move the contact higher up)
  14. well, the datsun/nardi adapter (see previous pic) that i have has the turnsignal cancel posts spaced further apart than those on the original 240k wheel i compared the turnsignal cancel post spacing on the nardi hub adapter to a 610 steering wheel, and they were identical i also compared a datsun 610 hub adapter made by grant (a u.s. company) and the posts are further apart like the nardi adapter so it looks like the 240k uses the same steering column spline as some other datsuns, but it uses different turnsignal cancel post spacing alfadog, was the spacing of the turnsignal cancel posts on your aussie steering wheel hub adapter identical to the original 240k wheel?
  15. the car was sold to a bay area 510 guy

I don't recall this being posted before: LINK
  17. kent, interesting that i just returned from holidays to find the box containing my replica grill on the doorstep and wouldn't you know it, it was cracked in much the same manner as yours, but in a spot easier that will be easier to mend whomever or whatever smashed it did a pretty good job as the area cracked is structurally heavy duty :stupid:

i wondered about that too hey, what's with the hakosuka avatar ? :tapemouth
  19. appreciate your imput, and there's certainly a lot of unknown territory here i'm rethinking the king springs idea as alfadog has them and had issues with not being lowered enough and that present problems of its own i'd use coilovers in a instant if they didn't foul my wheels
  20. we've seen that car before, but there seem to be no takers due to the rust too bad, because in other countries (eg england and northern europe), the rust wouldn't daunt a competent body man maybe because they're more used to dealing with it than we are?

Hard to believe one of these showed up to the Mt. Shasta All Datsun Meet 2006: S10 Autocross
  22. Unless you're talking about painting it silver, I believe the one to get is the GTX-E version that comes already brushed metal

Here's my KHGC110 want list: 1. RH (Driver's side) Glass (Clear not Blue) 2. Small adjustment knob for the fresh air vent at the left side (Passenger) of the dash 3. Outer cover for Driver's (RH) seat adjustment lever 4. Trunk lock 5. LH guard sidemarker w/chrome trim or just chrome trim I need all items in good condition. PM me if you have them or spot them at the wrecker's. Thx!
  24. my bad, 200lbs was rear coilover spring rates for 510 aftermarket 510 rear springs should work fine no suggestions for 240k rear performance shocks? anybody know the rate of 240k rear king springs?
  25. whoa! those seem pretty stiff. i know that aftermarket rear 510 springs are ~200 lb/sq inch, but it is a lighter car btw, who makes and sells sport shocks for the rear (besides monroe)?
