WingZr0, man take it easy:classic:, no body is unbolting the head, I was talking ironically about unbolting the head

Corrao, man you are going so fast with the case.. you should've checked the signal coming to the injectors first as Stephen said.. but if you are enjoying it, then have fun with it, but don't go too exited and unbolt the headLOL kidding.. good luck.

that is wise Sblake, I agree.. but how much is the voltage drop across the supply of the injectors? if it waqs 9 also then I think I would go for a bit more to strike them a bit harder, with care for sure.. but beleave me, I tried it with 12V it worked but I do also not recommend it unless it was the last solution.
  4. well David, I have no experience about the carbs at all, I have no problem with learning them.. all I need to know is which can be more reliable and easier to maintain as a classic, I even thaught of mounting carbs on a 280Z, but I can't imagine the result.. having both, I don't think so, the reason that made me forget about the vette is my budget that I couldn't increase because people over here are afraid from the ///MPower! so I decided to keep ot since it is in mint condition, and buy a worthy S30. the most the I hate in the 280Z is the bumpers, both front and rear, they are too big, and eleminating them is not a good deal as I had before.. and finnding a 240Z facia is hard also, I don't have the time to go to kuwait and buy parts from chpped Z's from Aus.. Nota280, I'll do it I guess, but I would like to keep the front turn signals in the grill, I don't have any problem with them:) but thanks for the advice, and those from a 240 look good too also! thanks guys..

oh sorry, I left and I didn't know that you were returning to the forum.. about shocking the injecttor, just unplug it and directly shock it from a battery terminals using two regular wires, but be careful, this can harm your coil in the injector, it is just a solenoid which doesnt like to be fed with a higher rated voltage.. because it normaly works under pulses with lower voltage dropped by voltage dropping resistors behind your windshield reservoir.. don\t worry, you'll need new imjectors mostly when they start leaking, but they don't fail that easy, they can get jammed maybe and after few pulses they get released.. BEFORE YOU DO ALL THAT, Sblake said a correct thing, don't jump steps, check the fuel pressure first, while I think that if there is no Gasoline smell from the exhaust it can be a clear sign that there is no fuel in the cylinder.. you can use a help of a friend, let him crank the engine and listen to one of the injectors weather it makes a knocking sound (very slight using a screwdriver attached to it and on the other side at your ear) what I assume, if the spark firing order is messed up with, there should be firing at least if there was some fuel left in the cylinders, maybe black smoke if it was too rich.. sorry if my english wasn't that good, I'm trying my best to help. the is just an opinion, it shouldnt solve your problem. it happended to my friend once and cured now after shocking, I rather not do it if you are not aware of it, you might damage the coil inside.. be carefull.. cheers..
  6. oh man! you left me hanging between them again:) but thanks for the advice.. I'll look for both:lick: cheers captain..

the picture attached on ebay is from Black Dragon, used to be Victoria British. it cost 199$ the last time I baught it. it was good, I don't know about the kit from MSA, but all I can say is that the "buy it now" on ebay price is high if it is from Black dragon originally, get it directly from them, they are reliable as far as I dealed with them.

you mentioned that the fuel before the injectors is ok.. did you check weather the injectors ARE injecting?? sometimes they get jammed and they open if you give them direct pulse of 12V (works like jerking them and the start opening and closing normaly again) but don't keep the voltage longer than a pulse.. or just check the exhaust after cranking for few seconds if there is a fuel smell or not, if not that means that you are not having fuel going in and your sparks are ok. since it was running before, I assume that no one missed up with the firing order.
  10. Well guys, as many told me before few mounths that I'll regret selling my Z.. YES I DO! I had some toughts of buying a 1971 corvette but it is out of my budget, besides I have to learn much about them.. since I know Z's well enough to have one, the question is, shall I go for a 240Z or a 280Z? I know the differences, but I never used a 240. is the body weaker since it is lighter? will it "twist" while jacking from one side? the only dissapointment for me will be the bumpers of the 280Z, other than that I consider it better since I always thaught that it have more solid body and EFI is reliable.. besides it has a rear sway bar. I'm not trying to be offensive against the 240's but for those who owed bothe.. what could be the best choise? I would really appreciate some wise answers, because I fel mad now without a Z.. and I need to get a better Z than I had before. thanks in advance.
  11. ops! didn't know that.. sorry.. I was talking about a 280Z..:tapemouth thanks for the info Arne.
  12. in case you replace your springs with after market springs, my experience with ST springs was that the rear springs are longer and have about 1 tyrn more than the front. so be carefull. cheers.
  13. +1 that could be the exact reply from my side when I first read the post. if you have a friend who has a good set of four wheels, barrow them from him, drive the car and compare. good luck.

guys, find her good ones and let her take them.. she must have them, she is addicted to them from what is seems;) go for it Darbji:)
  15. +1 I had this in my Z, I cured it with an insulation tape wrapped several times, could be solved mmore proffessionally also.. good luck.
  16. I got the KYB integrated bump stops+boots, no problems at all..
  17. I dont want to attack this post, but I had a combination of KYB GR-2's and ST springs, and the result was very good, I dont know about Tokicos, but ST Springs are considered lowering sprins also since they drop by 1". maybe the Tokico+KYB dont work..

Walter, it is not normal to think that it is not normalROFL I had a 280ZX that squealed at 2nd,3rd and SURPRIZE 4th also:D but later my 1977 280Z squealed up to 3rd only, long Diff. ratio this is the joy of the Z I guess, it just draw a smile on the face:) check the clip in the zipped file;)

thanks for cheering me up.. people. to be honest, I thaught of old cars from the '70s like a '72 stingray or a challenger, but they are way expensive and they have "huge structure" for our area since we don't have open roads to unleash. the S30 is the right classic to be, the dimensions, accelaration and specially availability of parts! I hope that matters will get more stable financially with me since I'm still paying back some money for my father since he gave me some money to buy the M5 which I'll completely retun next mounth. then I'll have to drag an S30 to my garage! I hope that I get a Z from a member of this forum at the end:nervous:

David, that "Told you so!" came to me like a punch at my face!:dead: that hurts man!:hurt: I guess I should listen to you now and do whatever you say, I'm flyin' to the westLOL unfortunatelly the last trip was cancelled last time, I could've gone with my cousin to Texas, but he found a new job, I was busy with my job etc. life sucks sometimes:rolleyes: but thank you anyway for telling me the correct words in the past:lick: cheers..

since I sold my Z I'm feeling worse and worse, specially when I remember guys over here telling me that I'll regret it, YES I DO! having 400hps's under the hood of my M5 in my garage doesn't satisfy me like the Z did:disappoin I have no point in this post, I just felt sad when I watched the threads and read about common problems that we face with our S30's, I loved repairing it, showing it off, and treating it right.. guys, take a good care of your Z's, they are really great cars to ride on! I wish that I buyer will show up, I'd sell my bimmer and get another Z immediately! just a thaught.. cheers.
  22. 27 at the moment.. after 10 days 28. so prepare the birthday gifts for me people:love:
  23. BuDavid replied to Darbji280z's post in a topic in Open Discussions
the video made me really sad for giving up my Z! even though I got and E39 M5, the joy of the Z is uncomparable.. the body lines of the Z are charming, the sound of the simple L6 is really smile drawing on the face! I need a Z.. I must sell the M5. I really regret selling the Z, what a shame on me.. sorry for the sad post.. but this what a good video of a good car can do.
  24. thanks Gary.. Mohamed.
  25. yes I sold it Gary:( I do regret it a bit, but I'll get a nother one for sure, sooner or later.. I also loved the color of my Z.. I just asked the previous owner who painted the car about the color, I always thaught that it is the Titanium Silver of the BMW E39.. but I found out that it is the color of a Honda Prelude '93 (don't tell no one):nervous: anywayz.. I'll sniff arround for a super Z.. I must get a better one than what I had!:devious: cheers..
