I ran my tripple dellortos daily for more than 3 years. I commuted in stop and go traffic every day. I even drove the car in the winter and in the snow. As for my recomendation, I'd suggest getting a 3.90 R200 and a ZX 5 speed. The difference in gearing will make a big improvement in acceleration, and the overdrive will make it nice on the highway. And get rid of the points ignition. I think it's pointless to try to get much more power out of a L24. Especially spending over a grand on webers. Don't get me wrong, I love my tripples, just not on a stock motor.
  2. It's making me crazy! I'm going with 16x8.5 front and 16x9.5 rear with ZG flares. They're a lot of loot, so I have to be sure on my decision. I guess if I get the all painted ones and grow tired of them, I can always get the lip polished at a later date.
  3. Probably either wheelchoice or Takumi Project.
  4. Okay, I'm getting ready to order my Watanabes. I've decided to pay the extra loot for the optional magnesium color. Now, I can't make my mind between machined lip or not. It's an additional $25 per wheel. I guess at $560 per wheel, another $25 isn't that much. I just can't make up my mind. The polished lip are pretty, but the all one color wheels look tough and menacing. The car will be either green or DARK burgundy.
  5. Has anyone here used one of these or know anyone who has? Are they any good? I've used them on V8s before and been pretty happy. Are they worth the money on a L6 though?
  6. Thank you, but I think it's some non metallic funky green. But I love it.
  7. can anyone help me identify the green in the above post?
  8. That green is EXACTLY the color I'm looking for. Is theat british racing green?
  9. I've recently come into a little bit of money, so I'm seriously considering spending it on a set of Watanabes. They're a bit pricey, but SOOOO COOL! I'm gonna ZG flare my car, since it has a little rust above on of the wheel wells anyway, and Wabbies would look awsome. Help me justify this purchase!
  10. I think I hate you. The wheels look awsome. I just can't swing that kind of coin. Oh, your paint job makes mine look okay (well, not really!)

Hi there. My name is Brian and I'm from Connecticut. I've been the owner of a modified early '71 240Z for about 8 or 9 years. I'm just new to internet club thing. My Z's been off the road for about 5 years due to an electical fire. After the fire, I kinda lost interest. The fire didn't do any body damage, just burned up the wiring harness. I had a buddy of mine install a Painless (yeah, right) Wiring kit and I just finished building a new motor which I installed today. I still have a lot to do. It's been hit twice while it's been sitting, so I also have body work to do. Loads of fun. I'll get picks up as soon as I can. Well, I'd just like to say hi and hopefully we can all share some info and stories. Brian
