  1. It's from the C210 Manual but same setup. Note for some reason the car in the manual is LHD so item 3 and 7 would be the other way around on our cars.

Prob best measuring a 240z one first, if its the same dimentions inc thickness and same fin pitch its prob the same item, although I have never seen a 240z one, so no real idea.
  3. A thanks, so they are the Tension rod bushes like I mention, well thats what they are called in the Work Shop Manual anyway. Thanks Guys!

How much were those badges and where from? As I need some new ones for my C210 Skyline.
  5. Been looking on the SuperPro website for suspension bushes for my C210 Skyline but I can't work out what a "Strut Bar To Chassis Mount Bushing" is. I don't know if its what is normaly called a Tension Rod or a bush that goes ontop of a strut tube? Heres a pic from the website and partnumber SPF0927K Thanks for any help anyone can provide. Will
  6. Wow Alan I'm so happy for you to have such a great car, must of been such an honour for you to receive it! I don't know what I would do to be able to own such a great car. Would be nice to someday see this great car in the flesh. Will

How big is the whole DVD? Would it be poss to zip or RAR the whole dvd onto your harddrive and then break it up into 700MB chunks, so I can rebuild the DVD here?

Looks like I just need to find this Aircon evap unit to replace the tube with. Any idea on part numbers? Will

Yea like I say the RB26 has over 300BHP stock when you put them on a dyno, so don't always believe all cars only have 280BHP stock Basicly if you put a new exhaust system, air filters and up the boost a little you have your self 400BHP for just over a grand.
  10. KGC210 posted a post in a topic in 240K Skyline
Hmm this should have been posted alot earlier but anyway... RB26 is 280BHP like all cars from Japan, well top power. But depending on which RB26 they can be upto about 330BHP ish, RB25 is 250BHP stock I think or there abouts. Erm to start with I recomend front and rear strutbraces. Seem or stitch welding would help, but only do about 2cm at a time then go to the other end and side of the car, to let the previous cool down to prevent warping. Do the C110's have a firewall behind the rear seats? The C210 does, may be an idea to add one, or a kind of X brace instead? Also a bar to join the front end of the 2 chassis rails, where the front valance is would help?

Hehehe random post there. Anyway you seem that have a more straight forward and simpler job putting that in than trying to get about 400-450BHP from the stock L engine. Are you building anything like a cage to try and stop the body twisting in half?

Wow Alan is there anything you don't know? Its also been an honor to have Alan "Mr Nowledge" in person in the past Isn't Infiniti just a name used for some of the export cars sold in USA? Like Datsun and Lexus are mainly just export names (Bar Datsun was used ages ago in Japan which came from DAT then Datson then again in 1932 I think to Datsun.) I find it quite odd how information can get so twisted from the truth at times, I guess it's like Chinese whispers. PS any tips on where to find info about Mr Hiroshi Iida as I can't seem to find anything on English or Jap search engines.
  13. KGC210 posted a post in a topic in 240K Skyline
You will find that with most Jap cars. Same make of heater motor, lights, air box (my Skyline shares the air box with some old Scoobys) diffs, calipers etc. I think what differes between Jap and non Jap cars is that in Japan they prefer to reuse a part from another company / shared instead of each producing their own version but slightly crapper as they can pool together and make a decent one in the first place. But with English cars etc they always produce their own parts, but thats why I think English etc cars are not very good quality as they have to spend part of the budget remaking parts and tooling, when there could be another part already made for use. Just my idea. Also bit of info on Lights to show they use the same company. My C210 Skyline uses Koito front and IKI rear lights My AE86 uses Koito fron and I cant remember the rear. But the AE86, S13 and some Rx7's all use the same size pop up front lights but dont know if they are the same make though. Also a quick little Table (not a full list, just a quick search) Make.........Used by IKI............Nissan, Isuzu, Koito.........Nissan, Toyota, Mazda, Suzuki Stanley......Nissan, Honda, Mitsubishi, Suzuki Also If I remember right my mates Scooby has got a alternator or starter (can't remember wich) made my Mitsubishi, but the lecy side of Mitsubishi. Right I will shut up now as this has gone way off topic about L Engines.

Does anyone know what parts will swap onto the C210? Also does the C210's in OZ have IRS or some form of solid axle? Just that I found some C210 parts in OZ and want to know if I can use them on my car with IRS and rear discs etc.

S20 specs for you: 6 cylinder inline. 24 valve. Double overhead cam. 'Crossflow' design. Hemispherical combustion chambers. *1989cc capacity. *82mm bore x 62.8mm stroke. *9.5:1 compression ratio. *3 x N40PHH Mikuni Solex carburettors. *Electronic Ignition. *6 branch stainless steel tubular ex. manifold. *Power = 160ps @ 7,000 rpm ( red line 8.5k ) *Torque = 18.0kg-m @ 5,600 rpm Quite sure these are the stock specs that the C10 and C110 GT-R's were sold with to the public. Im also trying to find more info on these engines as well as the OS Giken Twin Cam heads for the L24 engine.

Don't know how much help I will be. The 160BHP was the road version that was sold to the public. The C10 GT-R's won 52 races so cant be a shabby engine realy. I know some of them run about 240BHP in Japan but I don't know if they are street engines or full race. Also they are mega dear to rebuild like £1k just for the straight cut oil pump drive. Best person to ask about the S20 is HS30-H as hes rebuilding one for his Z432-R replica.

I fitted them rear lights as the stock non Jap ones are icky esp having datsun in the middle instead of Skyline. I'm realy after the preface lift ones that dont spread accross the back so much and also tend to be chrome. But for now I'm happy with the late model ones on my early car. O btw Alfadog I noticed you have some Red "GT" badges in your gallery for the side of the car, do you have the part numbers for the Blue one's by any chance?

Thanks for the info, yea only stuff im missing from the car is lecy wing mirrors, digital dash (think i shall pass on that idea) and Air Con. Yea I think the hardest part is getting the bit that goes in the heater unit in the car. I am a "Will" from Datsunworld but not the one your prob thinking off. Any one knows why that site aint working?
  19. KGC210 posted a post in a topic in 240K Skyline
Like the post title, has any one fitted Air Con to idealy their C210 but C110 info would help. I'm after info like what parts you used and what did they come off etc, esp the heater unit inside of the car. Thanks for any info people can provide.

Thats not there now, was just an idea that didn't work, so dont worry. Will be having a rear spoiler but more subtle.

Well I think about 1800 or less? were sold from 1978 to 1981 in England. But mine came through Nissan. Im planning on using S13 Silvia rear coilover's with custom made front coilovers, unless I can find somthing else to use with out modding for the front. I have a set of S14a Silvia 4pot calipers for the front, I also have a partial 280ZX Wilwood kit but not sure if it will fit. Im planning on keeping the rear discs standard with uprated pads if I can find any. Also for the time being its staying an auto, well untill I have the Twin Turbo setup on. Will

I can get the paint code for my 1979 C210 which is in Silver and I guess simular to the older ones. Also here in England you can take any paint code in the world almost and get them to make up how ever much you want at the decent paint shops. Both bad pics of the car but give an idea of the colour.

Well I thought I had better post a post on here considering I have been signed up for ages. So Hi guys, I'm guessing most of you are down in OZ? Any way heres some pics of the car etc. Before I got the car around Nov 2003 time, I brought it in Jan 2004. Interior. The start of my Turbo part collection. First Idea was a single turbo conversion. Then a Twin Turbo Kit was brought. Also got a Greddy / Trust REBIC II to use but now planning on using the HKS F-CON and GCC setup when I get a L20ET or L28ET ECU. I think for the time beeing to get it back on the road quicker I am going to use a single Turbo setup as it wont cost me much to sort that out, then I will build a new engine for use with the Twin Turbo's. But first on the list is to fully strip the bodie and make a few repairs and repaint in POR-15 and then back to Nissan Silver, as my car looks like this at the moment. Test fitting of the intercooler. The lights, and other wing are now removed. Got a few little holes to repair but should be easy due to where they are. But in general it isnt bad for almost 27 years old and living in pooy British weather. Have got some of these to fit as well, but they are on my other car for now while this is off the road. Thats it for now, any Q's just ask. Will
