Not sure if you ever got a response to your questions' date=' but the seller did eventually revise his ad with additional information, so I am copying it and pictures from the ad here for when the ebay link no longer works and this car appears again (and I'm sure it will). I'm not sure why he feels he needs to hide the VIN.
[i']"This is a rare 69 240z with low 300 vin. It is in rough shape, but complete. The other car is more solid, but no interior, and it has a rebuilt engine and transmission, but no carbs. Both cars are restoration projects, I do not know the year of the black one, and there is no title for the black one, only the 69 240z. Again, both cars need work.
I have had several questions about the vehicles, particularly the blue one. The blue one is more rough than the black one. The blue one needs floors, probably quarters, some sheet metal to rockers, all around restoration. The engine is original to the car, as is the transmission. The engine and transmission did run about a year or so ago, but I have not had it run since. The vin is in the low 300's.
The other car has no title, but the body is much better. It is not complete, but the engine was rebuilt when I got the car. The black car comes with a rebuilt engine and transmission, it has good doors, fenders, trunk deck, hood needs some work.
The auction is for both cars. I am looking at getting 3,000 for both
If someone wants the rebuilt engine and transmission, no carburetors-available for 450.00
We can arrange transport as well.
For the many that have asked, I will not reveal the vin, only to the person that buys. All the vin numbers are present, the clear title is in hand. The vin is lower than 350. The engine is original along with the transmission. It is a very rare car. For those that believe this is too high in price, remember there are not many 69's left. I realize that the economy is not the best, so if it does not sell, it goes into storage awaiting the time that the economy turns around. The price can only rise. That is my take on the situation, hopefully I am not wrong. Thank you to those that have looked at the ad, and realize the significance of owning this rare piece of history. thank you again"
