I tried BD rear hatch weatherstrip on 76 Z and hatch wouldn't close. Found an '88 Subaru Justy in the jy. It fit and closes without issues. It is longer than Z so it I had to cut about a foot out. Didn't leak from hose test. It appears to be a similar profile to the McMaster Carr, but is a smaller size. Also looked up a price on line for new, $100. Brad
  2. I'm thinking of doing the same thing, but haven't gotten there yet. I'm sure someone else has done it. Maybe check on HybridZ.

Does anyone know the Nissan part number for the rubber weatherstripping that is on the top outside of the of the window frame of a '76 280z? I can't get the carfiche site to load up. Thanks, Brad
  5. webdawg1, I know what you mean about life getting in the way. I think we all have that problem. I need to replace my clutch and brake vacuum booster to be able to keep driving once in a while. Not a lot of parts involved for that but I'm thinking about pulling the engine and transmission and restoring the engine bay, engine externals and seals for the trans since I would be pulling the transmission anyway. Another while I'm at it job. Brad
  6. Thanks Tomohawk, I hadn't seen that before. Brad
  7. webdawg1 thanks for posting your spreadsheets. Have you done anymore you can share? I'm in the process of changing them over for use with a '73 240. Thanks again Brad

OK! So if I had spelled spreadsheet properly for the search I would have found the information I was looking for posted by webdawg1. His is for a 280Z but with the description provided it can be changed to the correct section numbers to work with a 240Z. Thanks webdawg1 for sharing your hard work. Brad

Does anyone have or know of a spread sheet with part description and the Nissan part number for a '73 Z. I want to make an excel spread sheet to track what parts I have replaced and parts I still need to replace. I've tried searching but didn't find what I'm looking for. I have all the information from the fiche but I was hoping to get a head start and not have to enter all the information from scratch. I want to make a list mainly of all the rubber parts, seals, gaskets etc. I know MSA & Black Dragon have kits for many of the parts but I need to go way beyond that. Thanks for your help:) Brad
  10. Eastwood caries a repair kit. But I've never tried it.
  11. I went last year and it was great! I recommend it to everyone. Well organized and a great location.
  12. I had a metal fabrication shop bend up something similar for my '77. I think $100 for enough to go from the radiator cross support the the rear on both sides. So you might check that out if you have a good metal fab shop near you.
