    This site is a great place to find out much needed information as i used threads from it to make extra credit in chemestry... you think it will work?? How Fast Will It Really Go??? If you use common sense equations to figure out this problem it really is not all that hard. Say.. Power = 400hp = 300kW = 255 Rear Wheel kW ( 85% driveline efficiency) The density of air = 1.2kg/m^3 (give or take) Cd = 0.4 Frontal area = 2m^2 Rolling resistance = 0.014 ( Not sure but very reasonable) Mass = 1200kg Acceleration due to gravity = 9.81m/s^2 Top Speed after computing = 79.58 m/s Which after converting into Miles Per Hour = 176.8 mph.

    Hey welcome to the site man you came to the right place when having any questions about z's as i learned there one of the most unique cars out there look for a decent car because if you start off with a pile of crap you'll lose intrest trust me. always look for some spots that always rust (floors, fenders corners ect.)     Ok i see what you mean well i dont know i think im going to keep her(my 280z) because there awful nice looking and if i work on it enough i might be able to beat some of those damn mazdas have you ever raced a z on a road course or anything (dont worry tom i know you did) tell me about racing them is it hard expensive what would i need to do as im restoring my z now to make it race ready?

    Well i just figured i would start up a little convo sorry that it was a bomb shell well what i mean about racing and stuff was i just bought a 78 280z about a week ago it needs alot of work and everything but has anyone heard how they do in a quater mile because here in wisonsin theres a drag track called rock falls and i have been dreaming for a long time to be able race a car there i was wondering if this be a car to build up and race or should i just go and buy a camaro to do the job thanks for all the replies hahaha

    ok the persone before me must have put a in_line filter there if that damper didnt work would it cause it not to start( lack of fuel?)

    does the fuel damper look like a in line filter ? it had metal nipples and a glass cylinder to look through but it was so plugged i couldnt see through it i tried to blow through it but i olnly got alittle air through

    my rear in line fuel filter by the tank was really plugged could the injectors have got air locked and now it wouldnt get any gas? if so is there a way to bleed injections?
