I going through this also in trying to finish up my brakes. I found these on the Internet and they look like its the tool to do the bridge tubes for the calipers and the rear wheel cylinders. I got to reverse the lines to the master cylinder also. Once I got the old tubes off they looked pretty sad. Eastwood has them on eBay for less than the store price. http://www.eastwoodco.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemType=PRODUCT&RS=1&itemID=10826&keyword=49074

I had never heard of Kalitta Air until I read your post. I see that Connie Kalitta started Kalitta Air in 1967. In 1967 Conrad "Connie" Kalitta began a business carrying car parts using a twin engine Cessna 310 that he piloted himself. Over the years this simple start blossomed into a major airline - American International Airways. AIA began flying in 1984 using Boeing 747, Lockheed L-1011, Douglas DC-8, Twin Beech and Learjet aircraft, for air freight, air ambulance and charter passenger operations. In 1990 and 1991 AIA flew 600 missions in support of Desert Shield/Desert Storm. They ultimately became one of the world’s 25 largest airlines

The 70-71 clutch pedal does have the piece for the clutch MC clevis. Here is one just posted on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&sspagename=ADME%3AB%3ASS%3AUS%3A1123&viewitem=&item=150254713314

You both are spot on, I always leave feedback for all buyers at the time they pay. I also in that feedback leave the date it will be shipped. If and when they leave a feedback the seller can respond to that feedback. I find only about 1/3 of the buyers will leave a feedback.

I spent the last hour looking for good replies to feedbacks that the new eBay feedback policy is going to cause. I found this seller that has it all together. I don't know if I would be afraid to buy from this guy or buy from him to see what he would leave me. http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=tryork5ifp&ftab=FeedbackLeftForOthers His replys to feedbacks left for him are great!!! http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=tryork5ifp&ftab=FeedbackAsBuyer He got a negative on page 5 that he replies to. __________________

eBay just changed the way feedbacks are given. A seller still can get negative or neutral, but it looks like a buyer can only be left with a positive. So as a seller I went looking for creative feedbacks that can and have been left. Some of these are priceless. NEUTRAL: Excellent communication, but seller didn't poke holes in box before shipping kitten. NEGATIVE: Despite indication in listing, I could not fit item into any of my body cavities. NEGATIVE: Honda R-Type sticker did not add more horsepower as advertised. NEGATIVE: Item arrived broken and does not work. I still believe in Jesus Christ though. NEGATIVE: Should have mentioned that only accepted pyment method is in Bhats through Eastern Union Moneygram NEGATIVE: Darned dog won't hunt! Thought "stuffed dog" meant you fed it and it was full! NEUTRAL: Very nice, but monkey costume is size 34, not the size 63 as listed. NEGATIVE: Lederhosen is not as pink as it looks in the picture. NEGATIVE: Everything I could hope for but Postman made me sign for it at the post office. Such Hassel! NEGATIVE: though u did nothing wrong, let this negative feedback teach you that the universe is arbitrary & unfair. NEGATIVE: Buying this 1999 Space lunchbox failed to fill the empty void in my life like I hoped it would. NEGATIVE: Bought this item for my cousin with cancer. Item never arrived and now my cousin is dead! NEGATIVE: Item arrived in a Ford Pinto which quickly blew up with my item inside it! NEUTRAL: Buyer paid so quick that I peed my pants. Now I have to get new trousers. NEGATIVE: Ordered item last year. Never recv'd & long since gave up hope. Arrived in mail today. NEGATIVE: Item never recv'd. No response from seller. I'm out $! Other than that, great transaction. NEGATIVE: I ordered white chocolate/received brown chocolate! I am severly allergic 2 brown chocolate! NEGATIVE: Ordered makeup & revd quickly. But my brother says I am still ugly. Product obviously does not work! NEGATIVE: no warranty on car! damaged with use! seller will not refund my money.. BEWARE! Reply from Seller: You drove the car into a brick wall... UM, hellllllooooo! NEGATIVE: How long does shipping have 2 take? Ordered last week & paid for express delivery! Still not recvd. Reply from Seller: Hmmm.... shipping will take FOREVER because you paid the wrong person!
  15. After many years of owning Corvettes and using urethane bushings, we always drilled and tapped the control arms or bushing retaining parts to accept grease zerks. For the bushings a groove was cut around the OD with a file and or a a hole drilled through the bushing so grease could reach the inside pivot point. I don't see anyone doing this on the Z's. I do have urethane bushings on rear my 71 and did drill and tap for zerks. My front sway bar is a 1" bar with urethane and a zerk with a hole drilled through the urethane to the center. That has eliminated all the noise, that front bar at one time squeeked worse than a old rusty gate. As far as grease I use the green marine grease, there may be something better but it seems to work well.
  16. I have seen 3 different ones used on the Z's

You could solder a 5/8" brass compression ferrel on the ends of the tubing to keep the heater hose from slipping off.

  21. That is a 280Z splash pan and it will not fit a 240Z. I have correctly labeled pictures of the S30 pans here. www.V8-240Z.com/Files/Datsun/Splash-Pan/

I have been using that trick for years, it even will magnetize the end of a screw driver or piece of metal so you can pick up hard to reach parts.

Thats a trick when the cars had generators but it could ruin the alternator. A safer trick is to hold a screw driver at the rear bearing with the engine running, but don't touch any wires!!! If the alternator is working there will be a strong magnetic attraction that will pull the screw driver. If it is not working there will be nothing.

The problem here does look like something is draining the battery. However there is another problem called sulfation that leads to early battery failure. This web page explains it and a device that can reverse it. www.geocities.com/yosemite/2358/e_electrical_tips/e04.html Two months ago I bought a Battery Desulfator from www.wizbangplus.com/ they sell them on eBay for $31 shipping included, I also bought a 100 amp load tester for $17 shipping included from www.homier.com/detail.asp?SessionKey=IN93Elf%2btyY3MarPTEdyXBSOMES29P%2fdZpY31TgwGAhBvBwJ4Dmgq%2b1PY%2fYQnVjlB6llGm%2bxily9&dpt=&cat=&sku=01531 I have been using the desulfator on a 4 year old Schucks battery that lost nearly all its reserve capacity. At first the load tester dropped to 10.5 volts and was showing about 300 cold cranking amps. Now 1 month later it dropped to 11.75 volts and shows 1000 cold cranking amps. This is the same reading I get from the new battery that I have in the Z. At first I thought this wizbangplus was a snake oil type of gimmick but after using it on 2 old batteries with the same results I will buy another and connect it permanently to the wifes S10 JIMMI.
