I used SEM on my interior and the results where awesome! There is also a Vinyl top paint that i used on my headliner that made it look brand spankin new. It was applied with a foam brush and i could not believe how good the results were. Good luck.

2Many, The tunnel vinyl is stock, i have the same vinyl on my 260. The early 260 had this particular design. The bungee was an optional item.

Has anyone ever thought of putting a fuel cell in the spare tire hole? If someone has done this "mod" could you please forward that info. I thoughtit would be a good place for a fuel cell and wondering if anyone has had the same thought? Thanks, paul

Well, after cleaning all those connections and re-connecting everything, i decided to find out where the fuseable link was housed (looking through Haynes Manuel). I found that this box, opened it and what do ya know, one of the damn things was disconnected!!!!!!!!!! How i do not know, put it back on and varooom, she started right up! Now i am pissed off at the parts house that told me my solenoid was no good and that i spent 91.00 on a new starter/solenoid! On the flip side, i have a new starter/solenoid and knowledge of all the components in between!!! Experience is everything and i got none (until now). Thanks you to everyone that helped me here!!!! Go U.S. troops, come home safe!

Just about to tackle my front suspension myself, good info here! Going with the urethane bushings, but, my car is only going to be used for AutoX and occasional track driving/racing. Cant wait to get it done!

The yellow wire plugs into a black box (fuseable link?) that say's Hella (maker) 12v, 40a, the other three wires off the solenoid plug into it as well, is that the fusable link? Do i just need to replace this?

Ok, i bought a circuit tester and tested the wires that come off of the solenoid, the yellow one that plugs into (by itself) the solenoid has no current. The rest of the wires from solenoid have current. Where do i go from here?, remember that the solenoid and starter at this point are brand new. By the way what is the tiny black module called that the wires plug into coming from starter/solenoid?. Could that need replacing? Thanks, Zlish

If someone comes over and helps this non-mechanical dude i will bbq rib eye steaks for them!! Had starter tested, solenoid was shot, new starter and solenoid $91.00 ( a 280z starter because of late model 5 speed tranny). Put it in and NADA, nothing, zilch! Battery is charged, car wont even turn over, going back to haynes manuel to trouble shoot some more!!!!!!!!uggggghhhhhhhhh, any other suggestions?? hair falling out, Paul

Just spoke to Nissan parts, they told me they cannot order solenoid by it self, have to order with starter and the price would be 71.00 bucks, any thoughts on whether i should replace the whole unite or just replace the solenoid? I always feel that "while your in there" it would be a good idea to replace anyway? Thanks again, Zlish

Thanks Bryan, but no it iss a 5 speed from a 280, originally a 4 speed. I have removed the solenoid and i am replacing it today (hopefully). Thanks for the idea though.

OK great, there is silence, nothing turning, moving, spinning, creeping, slithering....you get the picture! Solenoid it is ( i hope). Thanks!

How does one decifer if it is the solenoid or the starter that has gone bad? I believe at this point that is where the problem is. Thanks, Zlish

Thanks all, i have unplugged the seat belt connection preeviuos to this, so that should not be it, i will jump the solenoid tomorrow, hopefully that is it! Thanks all for the help!

Battery cable not loose, i have already tightened the starter connections, but i do not hear "clicking" when i turn her over, i hear nothing! 74-260 by the way.

Ok, i am sure that it is something simple, but a mechanic i am not! I droze my Z on Friday, not one thing wrong with it at that time. Parked her in the garage and today, it won't even turn over. I have power from battery, lights work even the annoying buzzer from the ignition works, but the car won't even turn over!! Starter? Voltage regulator? How do i trouble shoot this?? Please help, Thanks Paul

I am just wondering if i should stick with the stock links for now and upgrade the bushings? These links seem a little over my head, would i even notice the difference between the two?

They are on pg 63 of the newest catalog, they utilize a rod end bearing lined with carbon fiber. Take a look an d give me your opion, i am gonna change out my end links, as after seeing mine off the car they are pretty rusted out.
