looks like "dealer installed" AC.. whats really interesting is my Radiator in that car has a FoMoCo stamp on it, but it looks like it was made for the car. Fits and mounts just like stock. Guess its possible they used Mustang or some other Ford OE radiator for AC cars maybe to keep from running warm or overheating.

Somewhat curious, aprox what % of 70-73 Zs came with factory dealer installed A/C ?
  6. Nice job, that 6 means June of 71, correct ?
  7. haha, whats left of them..... wish I could be more helpful.. Anyone know who makes a factory style or correct style front spoiler ?
  8. actually the date code is 1-6-71 heres a pic of the belt datecode
  9. this car did have a front spoiler at one time Ill post pics tonite of that area, whats left of the foglights (haha) and the seatbelt tag
  10. I didnt see a paint code sticker on the radiator support like my other Z, and didnt see a rear sway bar Heres a pic though of the rear view mirror off and the rear suspension. (my pic of the lap belt label didnt come out) Ill do a better one saturday.
  11. Surprisely enough the grill is in great shape.. heres a pic. Ill take pics of "whats left" of either of the fogs tomorrow too. It may of had a front spoiler, but the center valance is smashed pretty hard. Ill look for bolt holes. It had HL covers, you can see where they use to be bolted in. Maybe over the yrs they got dull or cracked and the previous owner removed them. I found a set I believe to be very close to FRP style that I may try to use in the future. thanks
  12. Ill take a better pic of those plugs tomorrow I saw that too.. What about the inside frame rails, looks like they tried to lighten from the factory with a series of holes. Are the US cars the same way ?
  13. my car inside is orange, a factory color outside its funny, theres a layer of lime green then the almost pink on top. Has anyone heard of something called a G pkg ? from what I heard from 1 source that was suppose to come with the flares, special paint color and blacked out headlight buckets for starters.
  14. If the flares arent factory, Im probably going to remove them for the meantime and during some of the restoration. Ill keep them just in case I want to put them back on one day. As for Options on this car Im thinking mine has the following: 1. Car Stereo (with Hitachi 8 track) 2. Clock with Stop Watch. 3. Reclining Seat Device. 4. Passing Light. 5. Fog Lamps. (whats left of them, the factory wiring is still intact) 6. Dual Exhaust. ( thats the full twin-pipe system ) 8. Racing Stripe.(cars been painted so who knows) 9. Rubber Bumper. 10. Over Rider. (dunno what this is) 11. Rear Glass with Electric Heater. 12. Air Spoiler. 13. Footrest ( Assistant ). 14. FM Pack.
  15. oh, the flares are riveted on As for the miles, I have pretty good documention that came with the car, the car say in Hawaii for about 10 yrs, with very little miles put on the car, when the prev owner moved to SD at Camp Penelton, the car also sat as a 2nd car for many yrs on base and never moved, after the gentleman passed away several yrs ago the car just sat on base for another 10 yrs. Like you say it really doesnt matter, but its cool if I can verify the whole thing. The air cleaner could even be the OE one too.
  16. Heres a pic of the rear wing, its stock but to me seems smooth. Thanks for all the tips and info, going to work on dating it this week. Pulled the tank out today and getting it cleaned out, going to rebuild the carbs over the weekend, and hope to have it running again by Tues. It almost started today.
  17. the wheels are steel slots, Ill have to see what name is on the cap tomorrow. They could be jdm, but they arent alloy slots like the US cars. Im going to eventually rechrome them if they are jdm, but maybe Ill sandblast the backs of the tomorrow when I put some new tires on them.
  18. Yeah, I collect alot of different style cars. Many can be found out here in the SW, esp some little towns outside the city etc. So know one else here has production #s or info on these cars ? or about the Pkg on this particular car ? thanks in advance Dayle
  19. thanks for help.... heres a pic of my blue US car too it has only 85k miles on it and factory AC.
  20. Hi guys, new here. I belong to a few car forums online, and visit when time permits. You all seem like a good bunch of guys so I decided to ask here about my car. I own 2 Zs. A very rust free 72 240 blue and white needs restoration, but runs and drives. Its an Az and Ca car so the rust free part is legit My other is what I call and is titled as a 71 Fairlady. This car was in Hawaii for some yrs and on the base in SD Ca for several. Has its share of rust thats for sure but its restorable. 2.0 motor, 5spd, cruise control, rear window defroster etc.. Im trying to find out more about the car overall. Serial # is S3006448. It only has 28k kilometers on it which makes sense since the guy who owned it lived on base and really never drove the car then passed on and it sat for yrs. The best I can tell I can use US parts in place of many of the rusted JDM parts (doors, hatch etc) Any input would be appreciated. thanks
