  1. Agreed Stephen, just having a little fun at your expense. I'm just atlking about the 70-72 240Z bumpers. You can see then on most of the pre-73 cars here.
  2. Nope again. I'm talking about the 240Z with the Fairlady badges on this page: http://510garage.com/photos/thumbnails.php?album=251&page=8
  3. I like the way you think. If only you were a few years older a little closer.

Looks to me like you're gonna need some linkage depending on what's on the SUs now, as well as a fuel rail which is missing. See pics for some clues.

Bummer, they don't carry the 114 Brown Metalic either, however they do carry the Imperial Jade Mica for my 4runner.
  6. Nope, not that one. The bright blue one with gunmetal Rewinds.
  7. Congtats on your maiden voyage. Hopefully this will be the first of many.

Don't worry too much, I doubt you'll get your asking price of $650 for a single NOS tail light, no matter how many pictures you post of it.
  9. Very nice Darbji. Looks pretty clean. Thanks for sharing. is it just the angle of the pic, or does that front bumper need some attention? You know you can replace those big old things with earlier bumpers for a cleaner look if you want. P.S. Sorry Stephen, I know you love your boat anchors.
  10. The cars are looking great guys! E's headlight covers make me jealous every time I see them. I hate you E! I especially love that shot of Dave's engine compartment. And who's beautiful sapphire blue 240Z is that? I think I'm in love.
  11. Oh.......and don't for get the pics.
  12. Looks like a great event. Perhaps I'll make it up there one day. If so, I look forward to meeting the NW crew.
  13. I love the way the 350Z looks in dim light, but like a girl you bring home from the bar after too many beers, things aren't so pretty in the daylight. You guys can have your frog shaped slot cars, and thanks for financing future Nissan endeavors.

Here's an example of the original 114 Brown Metallic in various lighting conditions. The 1st(sunlit) one was taken at the time of purchase prior to any poliching. The 2nd(darker) and 3rd were taken under a carport on an overcast day with a flash immediately after a full clay/polish/wax job.

Very nice man. The more I see these cars the more I like em. This could be bad.
  16. Congrats on your recent purchase???? and welcome to the forum. Let's see some better pics.

Thanks Shin. I would expect that from a part with a shiny finish like that of plated bolts and such. In my case the brackets are cast and therefore have a rough finish. I was more curious whether a self etching primer would damage the plating, and cause the paint to flake off prematurely. I haven't decided what to do just yet but I'll probably just use a regular primer to be safe.
  18. Are you sure it wasn't Scott Performance?

Welcome to the site. The most common cause of clunks in the drive train can ususlly be traced to a bad front diff isolator, worn rear link bushings, or bad half shaft u-joints. Do a search for clunk here on the forum for more in this an good luck with your project.

Is that clicking sound you hear when there's an exhaust leak the sound of the intake valves slapping closed or something else?

I was driving around in Santa Cruz the other day and this kid in a Blue 71 240Z blew past me with the cops chasing him. About a mile up the road he wrappped it around a tree. The cops said it was just stolen. From the looks of it, it used to be Orange and had a nice set of turbines on it.....

They are most definitely not tow hooks. The points they are mount to are not strong enough to handle the stress of towing. These are in fact tie down hooks that were supposed to be removed by the dealer before sale. Obviously many dealers didn't do this.
  24. I just saw this one on Craigslist. Probably not the one. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/car/346232628.html

Wassup Newb! Good luck with your project. Do a search for the Rust Bucket Support Group if you need some cheering up. After reading it you will feel right at home.
