9x18 + 10x18
I'm running coilovers.. I was prepared to have to cut metal and flare, but if I have to use spacers, then I think I'll just let them go.. Thanks for the answers, and I'm sorry I didn't take the time to search the forum..

9x18 + 10x18
I'm sorry if this has been asked a hundred times before, but I found some wheels for sale and I'm in kind of a hurry. Will 9x18 ET15 and 10x18 ET5 fit my 240z with flares? I know people who go that wide usually have a negative offset.. The wheels have been on a widebody s13. Please! Anyone?

Coilovers question
Edit: This is not at all any critique towards EMI camberplates or Modern Motorsports, I just use the names because I hope maybe somebody using the same parts or who have experience with them maybe could help me figure out what I can do different, or what I have done wrong. I will not be sectioning my struts, because my car is fine as it is now, Im just troubleshooting so that maybe people in the future wont make the same mistakes I maybe made..

Coilovers question
Ive finally gotten my car back together and I must say its like driving a completely different car! I love my new suspension-setup! As I said, Im using the EMI camberplates and I have not sectioned my struts. I seem to have read that you shouldnt lower your car more than 1,5" because than you loose too much travel. So if I lower it 1,5"+ the camberplates lower 1", I should be able to lower my car 2,5" and still have enough travel, right? I have now lowered my car approx 2" and I dont think I can go any lower.. I had to shorten my bumpstops to about half the size to regain some travel, and at this moment I measured that I have around 4cm (~1,5") travel and my front shocks.. (Im from Norway so Im used to the metric system ) In the back theres no issue, the coilovers are set higher than in the front and I have plenty of travel, but I really thought I would be able to go lower with the camberplates.. If the camberpltes lower 1", that means I really only lowered my car 1", and I cant go any lower because of loss of travel.. I havent got any pictures now, but I can see if I can take some tomorrow to try to show what it looks like.. I must add that the car is low enough for me, but I was kinda hoping I would be able to go lower.

Coilovers question
I just assembled coilovers in the front of my 240z, and I have a question. Im running MM coilovers with EMI camberplates and Suspension Techniques bump stops. I dropped my car down and it seemed like I didnt have much suspension travel with the bumbstops? I havent lowered the car yet, its the same height as it was before. I would of thought that I would have plenty of travel at stock height and with camberplates.. Should I shorten the bumpstops? Does this seem right? It seems like if I lower the car 2" it will be riding the bumbstops.. Oh..btw, I havent sectioned my struts.. Anyone who can help?

Camber plates+ strut bar
Okay.. I'm thinking of using the EMI, or DP ( ? ) camber plates.. I have no plans of cutting/welding the chassis.. I also read that the poly camber kits that MSA sell, aren't any good either? Because they don't have any flex and could ruin the shocks? Correct me if I'm wrong, I've read through so many posts now that I'm turning cross-eyed.. The noise I can bear with, I just though it might be hard on the chassis.. Thanks for the quick reply!

Camber plates+ strut bar
I've searched and searched and haven't quite gotten an answer to my question, so I'll have to ask.. I've got coilovers for my Z, but I haven't mounted them yet. I was originally planning on using the stock strut insulators, but after doing som research, I found out that I can lower my car some more if I use camber plates (EMI etc) I must add I haven't sectioned my struts. Now I also have the Cusco Type OS strut-bars, and my question is (sorry all the chit-chat); Can I use my strut-bars with the camber plates? If not, why not? And have I understood correct; the camberplates just attach straight to the chassis? So it's metal-to-metal? That's okay? Doesn't that make a lot of noise? Pardon my newbie questions, its just that I have to ask, otherwise I only partially get the answer to my wonders.. Thanks

"kind of" new.. ;)
Thanks for all the comments! The car has been totally stripped down and restored. Whatever isn't new on it, is as good as new. The winters here can be harsh and set their marks yeah.. That's why I don't use it in the wintertime.

Its a HLS30.. Production-number 39*** (i dont remember) The car was sold new in Norway in 1971..Its actually the second car that arrived Norway.. the wheels are 7x17" A.R. Ansen Sprint, those they sell at motorsportauto.. They tires are 215-45-17. I must add that the picture is photoshopped; the car looks just like that, except its not that low.. I just wanted to see how it would look like when I mount my coilovers..

Hello.. My name is Michael and I'm from Norway. I've been a member of this forum for quite a while, but haven't posted anything yet, so I thought this would be a good time.. I'm 21 years old and have owned a 71' 240z for about a year and a half now.. And hopefully I will be keeping it for many more years to come.. Well..I really don't have anything else to say, I just started college after working a couple of years after high school. I'm studying constructional engineering (at least that's what I think its called) Anyway, here's my car..
