What specs are you building the motor to? Yep, i'm about to put it on ebay for $6000 starting bid, I'm not allowed it as a company car so it has to go. I'll miss it when it's gone. I've only ever properly gotten into it twice and both times ended up in a lot of smoke and drift through 2nd gear. They're very fun to drive but s#!t on petrol.

I had another supplier written down on my old parts list but I can't find this now, I'm fairly certain that you can use other datsun ones but not sure which ones. Have you spoken to Stewart SWR? I saw a post on ozdat that mentioned his name in regards to getting new ignition barrel. I'll most likely be buying one soon so I'll send the old one down to you. Does anyone know if you even need an ignition barrel for rego? I'd rather f#@k it off and just have a button and immobiliser. Also is it legal to have your doors welded up?

I'm about to replace mine as the other day I went to turn it off and it kept running, I turned it on and off again and it worked fine. If you think the old one may be useful to you I can post it to down. Did you have any luck getting the window pieces i need off the window?

Sadly not 1 classic skyline showed up for the drive. We stopped a lot of people waiting to turn and leave their driveways on the cruise, which was quite funny, people were in fits of rage before they left their driveways. Most of us just smiled and waved. As you can see we ended up on a dirt road! I was glad of the dirt as it hid the fact that I, along with a few others hadn't bothered to wash our cars before the day. The only two cars on the drive that weren't skylines both ran into problems. One a gemini ute thingy (possibly not broken down but i'd bet $50 it was) and a 280zx which had overheated (possibly because it was worked off it's nut) as it crawled up the dirt road at 10kmh. All in all it was a fun day, I was just upset I wasn't in the convertible:cry:

Is there anyone who can help me with the window parts please I have a working fuel cap with key and a Gregorys service & maintenance manual I'm willing to swap for them if anyone is keen. It's not the thick manual just the thin one

The RB25DET will add $$'s to the Z as well.

It's repairable, just going to take some time. I had a similar problem with mine when someone did work to it and never protected inside of the rails and it just rusted out from the inside. Great for getting to those hard to reach places. Don't be scared to get under there and cut out the steel, air tool small cutting discs will be the easiest to get to it.

It's a pity they showed it with these wheels on, every other car in the article had standard rims on in the photos. I'm guessing that these aren't standard rims for the Z?

I need to save $15k to get it to stage 2 of restoration so that may be a while. I promise to fix the overspray Camo its just I have to do inside the wheel arches and scrape it off the mags too so being a painfull large job I'm avoiding it as best as possible. The video almost had my girlfriend driving in it until I realised what a recipe for disaster that was, she probably would have crashed before she even got to the garage.

Meet in the middle and have a drag race. Front struts are DR30 lowered kings springs kyb shocks with little spacers to get the caliper to line up right on the disc. We should all do our best to get to the 2010 Skyline Nationals in Adelaide and represent the K's

All I need is the brackets that connect the window to the rails. I have the rails. Someone over here should have them though so don't look too hard, I'd much rather you find some fender mirrors.

I've taken it around the block a few times and it's a lot of fun to drive. Not long now and i'll get it registered.

I prefer as few wires as possible in the engine bay. Too many looks messy no matter how much stainless is used.
