I still have the American Racing Outlaws on my Z. Mr K. even liked them !!!
  5. Is this the same area where that whining sound comes from when you get on and off the gas? It sounds gear related but I could never pin it down.
  6. I have the same leak in my 71z. I also changed some items I thought would help but it still leaks! Next I will have to check my headlight fluid and muffler bearings. HEEHEE
  7. I also have a Centerforce II clutch. 35000 miles and no glitches.

There was a white Z in traffic at the end of Blazing Saddles when Cleavon Little comes out of the movie house on his horse. It is 2 or 3 cars back.

I went with Arizona Z Car 6-1 header. The flange was the right thickness and the whole thing bolted up easily.
  12. Hi, I use 205/ 70R 14. I havent had any clearance problems.

My Z-Therapy carbs are great. What a big difference from when I was trying to balance the old, throttle shaft worn SU's.
  14. When I changed springs and struts I also installed new insulators, spacers and seats for the springs, and the car is SIGNIFICANTLY quieter.

I have 205/70r14 with stock height springs installed this month on my 71Z.
  16. I have just installed Courtesy Nissan OEM springs all around and measure...9 inches across rocker panel to ground.....27 1/4 inches to front wheel arch ..and 26 3/4 inches to rear wheel arch. I am running 205/70R14. I put in Tokico Illuminas in rear and KYBs in front. The older pic is with the original (to my knowledge) springs and struts. P.S. Hi Carl B. , we chatted at the convention in Syracuse. You thought that I might have one of the last production early Z cars. My vin# is HLS3019867. 1/71 production date. I dont know if you ever looked into it, but it would be cool to know.
  17. Are progressive springs wound with a tight layer and a layer with more length? The ones I have for the 240z look like Jeffs. They have 5020 on the spring. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=8076848008&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT
  18. ......and.....the Arizona Z-Car springs sure look like the red Tokicos
  19. Hi guys, if you look at the picture, the springs dont look like progressive wound springs. When I had them in the car the ride was stiff and the car didnt drop the 1" that is advertised. In the Motorsport catalog (where I bought them) the only advertised progressives are the Eibach. Nothing is said about the Tokicos being progressive. I'm trying to sell these because I went with Courtesy Nissan OEM springs.

Are all you guys running with lowered cars? My car has OEM stock springs and 205-70R14 and they fill the wheel wells perfectly
  21. I would also like an adapter for the alternator upgrade. My email is zztom71@hotmail.com Great idea... Thanks,Tom
  22. Sorry about that...
