If the engine has an 05L head on it chances are its a full engine relacement from a jap import 1980 skyline 2000, which is one of the few cars I can find to have this combo fitted L20 turbo EFI with this head. I can't find any info on the head ..yet

Its definitely a skyline head - I have one and its from a 1980 skyline 2000 L20-ET 1998cc OHC 6 cylinder, EFI, turbo 144hp Skyline (Japan only). I have a spare engine with it on. I've been researching hard and it appears that it was fitted to Aust and NZ skylines. I haven't taken the head off to have a look at it yet. Possibly its pre unleaded gas and therefore doesn't have the hardened valve seats. I bought the engine with a view to turboing my 2litre zx, which has a Y20 head on it. Unfortunately both these setups are pretty obscure and I've been having trouble getting a full description of the piston setups etc. hope someone can help. I'm going to pull the skyline head off so maybe I'll have to post some pix.
