Zdayz 2010
Hi Everyone, Last weekend I attended with fellow ZCCNV members ZDAYZ. What a great time!! I have been involved in so many Z adventures and wanted to add another new one. What a wonderful choice I made. I found myself more than anything that weekend wanting to just hop in my car and DRIVE all the time. The Cherohala Skyway and the Tail of the Dragon were roads that I have rarely experienced. Many many switchbacks. Those switchbacks are a little unnerving for some especially when we were lost in the dark and large creatures flying closely overhead. Unfortunately, the driver behind me in our group made sure to let me know the next morning that my taillights will be the last thing he ever wants to follow again. You guessed it I lost him. Don't judge me I was just following the leaders and kept flashing my lights to no avail. After a drive each day I was soooo amped to do it yet again. Made many visits to the gas station too. NissanMaster it was good to see you again!! Glad I could help you win first place. I am including a link for my gallery of pictures. http://zladyeducator64.smugmug.com/Other/ZDAYZ-2010/12315726_XH4BP#879189629_BoNAY If you go also to killboy.com you can see more of the cars that were there in action on the Dragon. Enjoy!!!

Permitted items for Interior during judging
If you know I am judging your car go ahead and leave the $100 in it.....I will surely remove it secretly for you and save it in my pocket. Chris, Sorry you won't be judging my car....but hey it will save me alot of detailing work from wiping your drool off the car.

Permitted items for Interior during judging
Nothing is allowed in the console for stock class. Besides a car shows better without clutter. I like judging cars that are clean, like they came from the factory.

VIR April 3-4, 2010
Thanks Guy!! You are too sweet!! A couple of disappointments were that I only hit 115 mph AND I was driving on a defective throw out bearing. Glad I made it home with the traffic in Fredericksburg. The next morning the clutch was on the floor. UGH!! But it all worked out and the car is running now better than it ever did.:classic: I hope to get back there in the fall. Cheerz!

Motorsport Auto's 2010 West Coast Nationals
Been showing my car for 10 years and really enjoyed attending the New Hampshire, Syracuse, Daytona Beach and Cleveland conventions while driving my car to each show....well cheated a little with the auto train for Florida.:classic: Riding with my Z friends made it very enjoyable. Anyway, I have always wanted to attend the Motorsport show but there is no way I could afford the money or time to get the car there from the east coast. So instead last spring I found cheap airline tickets and flew out without friends (they just don't plan in advanced much..) to see the show. Even without my cars (yes, I was missing them)..but I enjoyed seeing the work and details of what other Z lovers have done to their cars. Hearing their stories and learning also what worked or didn't for them. Though I was only out there for 4 days there was alot to see and do. I was adopted by the fun Arizona Z club and the San Diego Z club. We all had a blast. Drives thru the National Parks, a visit to the Datsun Heritage Museum, etc...... I strongly recommend seeing this show even without your car no matter what size or how many days it is. As for the California drivers (not stereotyping here) but............that was entertainment all by it's self. It was the first thing I notice leaving the airport with the rental car. They are crazy......their style is to speed, not look ahead in traffic, and slam on the brakes because they are about to hit a jam. Almost saw a Z in one of our caravans get taken out but he took the shoulder and the car behind him missed. Check out my photo gallery link if you wish to see the weekend of fun from last spring.....it was all about enjoying other peoples rides that trip.

Who else is SNOWED IN?
That's a peaceful shot. Snow is very pretty especially when it is in your state. I am happy that I am starting to see my garden hose...it's a sign of spring!

What Zs are in your "Dream Garage"??
Many of my Z friends have not been able to find the time or money to finish their z cars. So my dream garage would be filled with their "finished Z dreams" just long enough to pick me up and take me for a long ride. Their smiles would be priceless to me!!!:classic: Of course in my garage are my Z cars and a few non z's like a Bugatti Veyron, Audi R8, Aston Martin DB....my list could go on forever.

Man, did I make a big mistake yesterday...
Actually I own a Dark Blue 350z while most think it is black. The rental was black though. I also own a red z31 with 62K on it..."She" is the show and "he" in blue is the go!! I have been in it at least 10 years and have enjoyed it tremendously. It is all about the cars, the stories and more importantly the people involved in this wonderful "sickness". I continue to build the collection via ebay or Japan Yahoo. But there are some great stuff in Australia but the shipping is crazy.

Man, did I make a big mistake yesterday...
Gary, I too made that mistake while in Vegas for my hubbys convention. He was quite upset that I didn't want to join him at some of the presentations and quite ticked that I was renting a car............not just a car.........he figured there was no way in hell I was getting a Z. Not only was he wrong again but I even had a choice of colors in front of him. So he went off mad. I on the other hand grabbed my camera and took off outside the city straight to the Vegas speedway. Enjoyed the 180mph riding in a formula one car with the mountains in the background. But once I kicked that car into a slight slide in downtown on a turn I was hooked. The next day I grabbed the husband of my hubby's associate and we ended up having a blast on the roads toward the dam. He had quite a smile on his face for a Harley man. A few pics are on my photo site. Last Feb. I ended up buying a new 2008 350z......I love it!!!

Who else is SNOWED IN?
This morning "Footsforecast" is predicting 22.5 inches by late Wednesday night. Pretty soon if this snow doesn't stop you will find me taking apart my mint cards of hotwheels to play with them. I miss driving my Zs!!!:stupid: Wow, at least we are going to be part of history!!
-
Who else is SNOWED IN?
Just checked out my favorite forcasters...www.footsforecast.org Now they are saying 6-12 inches from PA interstate 80 down to route 40. ugh! Today I dug out my beater the Altima and the loooonnnnngggg driveway looks great. Thank Goodness for ADVIL... For the evening no advil but wine keeps the blood flowing and no stiffness till morning:cool: Wonderin' if I will get to my Z meeting in Northern VA Wednesday. Doubt it!! As the World Turns........

Who else is SNOWED IN?
Snowed in here too!! Snow plowed for hours and now the can is almost out of gas. Ellicott City has about 30 inches also and it is still coming down. The Zs are tucked away in the garage but the Altima won't be out till next week and the Yukon XL is almost out. Just wish it wasn't so tall as getting the snow off is a pain. Hope Tuesday Wednesday's new storm won't be as bad. I really wanted to participate in my first Track class at the VIR but they cancelled. Will have to wait a couple of months now. Heard from some dear friends in Florida and they notice my one finger is very long as it is shown for their "warm" info on their state.
