New Hot Wheels 240Z
If you are a collector you will notice that the Blue 510 also comes in different card styles. For example this car comes as a HW Premiere card both regular size and short. It has a city background deep in blue on these cards. The third card style says 2009 New Models on it and it has the city also but with snowflakes. I also just picked up a silver GTR from Hotwheels to add to the red and white one already out. Cheerzzzz.... Zlady

What worst car have you bought ever?
My worst vehicle was a 1989 Jeep Wrangler. I loved the full door, hard top and soft top in black but this thing was the devil. Not long after it was bought the idle was never right. It was an auto but you had to drive it like a manual with two feet. Stalling often in dangerous places. We left it at many dealerships hoping they could fix it and never could. It was the last year before fuel injection. What a waste of money!!! Then there was my first car a 1975 Mustang. Red with the white interior and four cylinders. For some reason this car had no power and some bad luck too. My third day driving with my new license I logically figured out if I picked up enough speed at the bottom of the hill by the time I was at the top I would be at the speed limit. The police officer waiting for me at the top wasn't as logical as I was. Why do I always get in trouble with police officers in my red cars???

Richmond Z Car Show
Fantastic photos!!! Yes, wish I had been there!! Got in late the night before because I attended the Children's Cancer Foundation Gala then it snowed during the night.....Guess I live too far up north. Glad you all had fun though!!! By the way, if I had attended I think I would have become ill as soon as I saw the red z31 with a hole in the hood. As a matter of fact I sorta do right now from seeing the picture..............goodness!!!! Let me know when you come up to Northern VA again.

New ZCCA Judging Rules
You know when you have a great car, great prep skils for a show, and you love your car. Rules are a guide for improvement and yes, you are going to have poor judges at times. but if we battle "specifics" which will always be somewhat gray and its in every facet of life....you are missing the ride! I think the rules and how they were "cleaned up" and improved was great progress just like Will said. I am pleased to see people who still care enough to put forth the energy to continue to make improvements. After 10 years of using the ZCCA judging rules for my car I have learned alot about how to improve my car to factory stock. I used to get caught up in the scores I was receiving and when they changed so much because of judges were weak or strong I just started focusing on the comments. Later on when the car started scoring over 270 points I paid a little more attention to the level I was competing at but still the comments from knowledgable judges were the most beneficial to me. When I didn't get those "good" judges I would just enjoy the day and the Z people. We will always continue to make progress with the rules and these rules will help elevate the quality of our cars which is important. Peoples Choice shows are good to pull others in with no stress and enjoy their cars but it doesn't always help with improvement of the cars. I would be embarrassed to show a car that only follows the "specifics" only and neglecting the car as a whole. That would be a disgrace, show a lack of care for my car I so enjoy, and a lack of respect for the whole purpose of why I show cars.

I now have 200+ photos at the link below from the week of fun at ZCON09. I am pretty much finished but will add at the end of the gallery pics of friends and pics from friends. Hope you enjoy them!!! Chris the shot of you staring at the models required a napkin to the corner of your mouth for clean up even on a digital file....go figure!!! http://zladyeducator64.smugmug.com/Other/ZCCA-San-Antonio-Convention-09/9849623_MsWzV/1/670376286_jF5BK

Any Pics from the Z Con Car Show in SA?
Hi Guy, I believe the junkyard was south west of the city. The partners in crime will have to give you the specifics as I wasn't paying that close attention because the boys were making me laugh so hard. Had to be there! As for the Richmond show, they put on a fantastic one and it shouldn't be missed. Unfortunately I have a show the Saturday before in Reston with ZCCNV then I must leave early for Ball with the Cancer society. Doubt this ole girl can get up and play Z the next morning. Keep a watch out for the rest of the photos, next is the track day and then this and that. :classic:

Z Autocrossing with new camera- GoPro Hero Wide
For the money I have been impressed so far. Participated in a BMW group's autocross locally a few weeks ago. Thought I would try the camera in a new location...on my windshield. I accidently hit my wiper controller and the camera flew off the car. No doubt a humorous moment for those watching. The camera survived but didn't get a video. At least the times ranged from 37-55 sec so I was competitive with 45. Not a wasted day. Anyway I will enjoy trying for a video again next time.:classic:

Vin fonts
Just got back from an evening with some Z's and was stuck in traffic. Going 5 mph on the beltway in my Z drives me batty.:stupid: Anyway pondered some questions about the stamping of the vins on the door jamb plates. First how many fonts existed on the 240's? Some of the numbers to me do not appear uniformed when placed on the plate spacing wise so is it machined on or hand stamped for the early 240's? Lastly are the numbers black when stamped or just silver? Thanks!

Z Autocrossing with new camera- GoPro Hero Wide
I mounted the 3m clip in the grill area just to the right from the center of the car. Next time I plan to use the large suction cup set that came with the camera and put it either on the top of the windshield or the back glass. After that I need to try the interior...........for some reason I don't have time to look at the speedo....

Z Autocrossing with new camera- GoPro Hero Wide
Z Autocrossing with new camera- GoPro Hero Wide Just bought the GoPro Hero Wide motorsport camera and used it while autocrossing one of my Zs. For the money the camera performed really well. The video link is my worst yet most fun run. I know I am not suppose to eat a cone and steer clear of sand pits but hey it added excitement. Does anyone else have experience using this camera? Enjoy Z Ride! English LINK
