The Sydney Z Car Club will be holding its 2002 Concours at the Fox Studios, Moore Park, Sydney on Sunday 29 September. Categories include 240Z through to Z32 300ZX with classes for Standard, Modified, Motorsport, Street Machine and Unfinished Car. On Sunday 18 August, the club was represented at the Shannons Eastern Creek, Classic CMC, Show and Shine with approximately 16 cars in attendance. The day ended with several 'touring' laps of the circuit behind a pace car. It's amazing how fast you have to go to catch the pace car when you let him get a bit in front!!!!

Has anyone had any experience with Victoriabritish seat reupholstery kits. Such as, do they fit ok and are they similar in appearance to the original seats. I have a 260 whose seats are in need of repair. Regards, Geoff

Nigel, I think if you do some checking on the net you will find that the crack you are talking about is something that occurs as a result of flex in the body and is where the roof is joined to the body. Others know more about this than I but from what I have read it is not a serious problem. This join is lead wiped and I think the flex causes a crack in the lead. Hope this helps

Nigel, I am in the Sutherland Shire. I joined the Sydney ZCC last month and will be going to the meeting tomorrow night. Are you a member? Geoff

Nigel, How did you go with the carb conversion? Did everything work out ok? Notice any difference?

Nigel, I just did a swap last week with my 260, but instead of the normal HS6 SU's I had the later model HIF6 SU's, which had been fitted to a 240Z I had bought. I fitted the thicker phenolic spacers which came with the SU's and the other part I used was the shorter accelorator arm that goes between the linkage and the rod that joins the two carbs. The one on the Hitachis was a bit longer. Apart from those bits everything went well (apart from an aching back from bending over the car for hours) and I can't believe the difference. It's like a new car. Good luck. Geoff

I don't know whereabouts in Aust you are situated but there is a place in NSW WWW.Fibresports.com.au that makes front spoilers for 240/260Z's. Check it out. I think the front spoiler unpainted is around AUD $150-170. Hope this helps.

This is a query to Ben In Adelaide. In one of his photo posts he has shown a pic of a new sill dogleg being welded into his fathers car. Was this piece sourced from MSA in the states or was it made in AUS. I live in Sydney and have a need for the same piece for my 74 260 which is fairly rust free except for those sections and the bottom of the drivers door. Any help would be appreciated. geoff

I have a 260 with a stock l28 installed. I also have a spare 240 motor with the better SU carbs. Can anyone tell me what needle size I should use to install the SU carbs and N36 manifold on the 2.8. Thanks g
