  1. My girlfriend noticed it on the ad a few weeks ago. I was really surprised; not about the fact that there is a zed on the ad but the fact that she noticed it before I did!!!
  2. I suppose if the rubbers in the inner transverse link mounts aren’t right, it would have an alignment problem but I can't imagine it would be a couple of inches. This may sound silly but I have seen it once before; are the wheels the same offset? Maybe the previous owner had replaced a rim with a different offset? (I had a friend with an EH Holden that was hitting the guard on 1 side, the problem turned out to be that the tyre place put the wheel on backwards)
  3. Esteves, You’ll pass with no problems down under... Looking at these emissions prompted me to check out what the rules are in Australia for comparison. In Queensland, for pre-1986 vehicles, the percentage volume of carbon monoxide should not exceed 4.5 per cent and 400ppm hydrocarbons. (For post-1986 vehicles, emissions should not exceed 2 per cent carbon monoxide and 250ppm hydrocarbons.) [source http://www.transport.qld.gov.au/qt/LTASinfo.nsf/index/aircare_testing] I now have a bit more of an understanding on the emission restrictions put on the Zeds over there.

Sorry, I just couldn’t resist: “Hello, I need your help my friend, I’m looking for a 240K from 1973 to 1977 with a left hand drive with any price. Two door or coupe, for sale. Thank you all.”
  5. Cool, I dunno know what's a better find - the mud guards or the old paper. Perhaps you should wrap them back up and leave them for another 30+ years.
  6. My Z and I have been best friends for 16 years.

I've only seen one too. It was in the Brisbane Motor show about 10-15 years ago. It was a 2+2, painted about 301-Brown Metallic colour from what I can recall.
  8. According to http://ourbrisbane.yourtv.com.au/guide/index.cfm Program details: Thursday, 16 March 10.30pm - 11.30pm | Discovery Channel The Greatest Ever Sports Cars Documentary This program counts down the top ten sports cars of all time. The team puts their picks through the paces, testing out their claims, shutting down a major American highway to put the pedal to the metal in a Ferrari Enzo. The panel then debates and argues on the virtues and failings of each fantastic sports car. Viewers see which hot ride is singled out as the greatest sports car ever. That might be 9:30pm for us Queenslanders as we dont have daylight savings.

Wow, nice one Brian. It would be great if you have a few copies so you could frame it with all the pages open. Do you have a translated version so you know exactly what was written? - of couse it would have all been good!!!
  10. The green way is right. I put the bottom sprocket with the marked tooth through my joining link and count up from there. (starting with 1 being and inside link, 2 being an outside link etc…) Number 42 will be an outside link which will line up with the marked tooth on the top sprocket.

G'day Armand, The increase in weight is also due to the 260z's have additional stiffness in the chassis due to a slight increase in the sheet metal thickness in certain areas.

  13. Hi Max, If it’s been sitting for that long, the diaphragm may be split and or the valves under the top cover might be stuck. When reinstalling the diaphragm, it needs to be flat so you need to hold the lever in partway (against the pressure of the spring) before tightening down the screws. I recently did one that still didn’t pump fuel so I installed it on the car, turned the engine over so the lever was touching the fuel pump lobe at about the half way mark, then slightly loosen the diaphragm screws and then re-tighten them so the diagram moves up and down an even amount. Also fill the intake line with fuel to help prime it.
