Cleaning engine compartment
Hey I like that idea DatsunZGuy! I'm not sure if I want to spend the money on it - maybe I can get my neighbor to let me borrow his power washer. I'm just now ready to strip and rustproof the underside of my floors. There's quite a bit of junk 0- Im either going to sandblast it all off or wash it with a water hose. Michael

mr. purdue
I need the rotisserie so that I can fairly easily roll the chassis in and out of the garage for sandblasting and painting. I can't do that in my small garage - not to mention the mess! Also it'll be nice be able to stand and not crouch or lay on the floor with paint dripping on my face when I get there. I could have rigged something up but this is the safest way to go I think. Can't even imagine how horrible it'd be to lay under the car while sandblasting.. Yuk Also when I'm done I can always sell or rent it out - maybe make some of my money back. but even if I don't I think it'll be well worth it - especially if I decide to do this to a few more Z's down the road. mr. purdue
Hi St Stephen, Kmack built the rotisserie for me - he's in San ANtonio and Bryan Tatum (another member here) brought it up to me last weekend. Email kmack about pricing if you're interested. Or see this thread about building one yourself http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5039&highlight=rotisserie http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5034&highlight=rotisserie Kmack shows $300 including shipping in the above thread - mine was a little less because he didn't have to ship it. And Ken did a great job on this one - it's stood up to a bit of abuse on my part because of a few problems I had when mounting the chassis. He was quick too. Michael

Anybody want to trade?
How are the panels from a '70 different from a '72? I thought they were all the same.

Golden 240Z Windshield Wiper Blades?????
I bought a new set from MSA a year ago - exactly the same part in the same Nissan boxes. I think I paid $40 for the pair. Are they not available anymore?

Ignore The Spam
Hey sjcurtis - I think the name came from the Monty Python's Flying Circus show. Remember "bacon, eggs, spam, spam, spam, spam and spam"?

Which Shocks? and Where From?
Shox.com does better than that. Send them you best quote from other sources and they'll beat it. I got a great price on springs and shocks from them (eibach and tokicos). Michael

Side moulding
Thanks again Enrique! I checked it last night and I probably will need to straighten out the screw holes. It'll be hard to get to somem of them but if I just need something back there to hit against I should be able to do it. That reminds me - I need to buy my body work tools now. I'm getting the rotisserie that kmack built me this weekend, so I'll need them soon to work on those dented up floors. I can't wait to get this thing up and spin it around. Weee! Here's a pic of the stands. :classic: Michael

Side moulding
My side bumpers had caps at the end that popped right off. I was then able to slide the vinyl or rubber part out to the side (from the end of the rail), and low and behold found that mine were screwed in to the metal. So they were easy to remove from there. Using solder to fill the holes is a great idea. I was going to try welding mine shut but I'd probably end up warping the body panels pretty bad.

Rear "euro" bumper center
I've heard lots of talk about "Euro" front and rear bumpers but I never caught what the differences really are. Could someone enlighten me on this? Also 2ManyZs could you get a pic of a US bumper and Euro bumper side by side?

Infinity G35?....well there goes the neighbor hood!
Remember you don't have to own a Z to be a club member in most cases - you just have to have some interest in Z cars. Many members of this Z club don't own Z's yet. Now I don't know about the G35 owner in this case, but his reason for joining could simply that he has an interest in Z's (maybe the 350Z). Considering the close relation between the G35 and the 350Z, he could possibly get something out of joining the Z club. Sort of a gray area I guess.

Bushing Kits..
Spudz, I agree that it's a good idea to buy from Zcar community supporters - I have never dealt with strictly Z and didn't realize they support shows and zdriver.com. 24oz was asking for prices and I threw one out. Michael ps next time save the sarcasm till you're sure the recipient really deserves it!

Bushing Kits..

aside form loving Z's....is anyone else...
Cool. I'll email you after I take a good look at it. I've also got a couple of Morphine shows if you're interested. But I'm always happy to spread Ween around to anyone who wants to listen! I was big on B&P's back in my trading days... Michael

Not a GD fan but I'm a follower of a band that follows in the same spirit (open show taping, heavy bootleg trading, rabid fan base). This great band is WEEN headed by Gene and Dean Ween. I've got tons of bootlegs starting with their first recorded show in '89 up to a lot of shows from the 2001 tour. I haven't traded in awhile. I think someone threw in some GD shows with one of my trades one time but I didn't really get into it.
