  1. I like the idea of Titanium coated rings but when are we going to get Titanium rods, pistons, cams, crank, valves, Bolts, and Ect. Prices are very reasonable compared to the U.S. stuff I have looked at
  2. This does not sound like a fuel problem. I would start with the basics. Check your fuzes first of all and make sure you did not blow one with the battery trick. Then see if you are getting spark to the plugs. If so then test your fuel to the injectors. If you got fuel to the injectors and spark to the plugs then you have a problem with something major. If you have no spark to the plugs, check your coil and distro to see if they are working. If there is no fuel to the injectors start with checking the fuel pump to see if its even coming on. You should be able to hear a humming sound coming from the passenger rear wheel. If you have no fuel and hear no humm then your fuel pump may just have gone out. Good luck andd keep us posted of your progress and solution.

I have raced bikes in my 280 and my 300TT and have not been able to win at all. Don't worry about it just think to yourself what a stupid a$$ those guys are for thinking that your car was a slow a$$ Porsche. I wonder if you had a G-nose if they would have called your car a Jag?
  4. Don't forget that you may have problems with your bushings or your rack and pinon. I have seen this before. So now you have tires, U joints, Bushings and rack & pinion to check out. Good luck and hope you fix it.

So I have found replacement air duct hose for the Z's. NAPA PART # BK8151001 is a 2" x 76" NAPA PART # BK8131509 is a 2-1/4" x 72" It runs about 3.29 a Foot, so close to 20.00 for the whole 6 feet. Now on to the Cell foam.

Not a bad idea Will. I have a tube of clear in the garage but like you said if the fit was good then leave it. (Dash Cap)

Well I plan on updating most all of it. I will take a hose to work tomorrow and see what my aviation friends have. Heck I may just use steel braided line. I have some cell foam for a door seal that I may be able to use. I am also going to put masstic around the evap to seal it up nice and clean.

cool Stephen thanks. What thickness of cell foam? I was also going to look at hoses from hottubs. May sound crazy but anything is possible.

Pulled the dash out of the 280Z to try and find out more about/on the dealer installed AC system and why it won't cool like it should. I know it works because it gets cold and I do feel some air flow. What I came across was the insulation for the vents and inside of the duct hoses is shot. I kind of expected it though. My questions are. What’s the best solution to fixing the insulation is. Also what can be used to replace the torn and damaged duct hoses under the dash?

SuDz, You want to blow all of the lines out from the tank to the carbs and make sure they are clear of rust and other things like roaches and Ect. Yuongman, There are several things that can cause rich fuel. Maybe you could start a new thread about your problems. You kind of like hijacked this thread. Just because you replced something like the Airflow meter does not mean the one you put into it was good either. You also have the temp sensor that can be your problem. Good luck with it.
