  1. Here is a wiring diagram from a 92 Civic FSM. Maybe this will light things up a bit.

I have a 76 280Z coupe. I replaced the stock seats with seats from a 90's 300ZX and had them recovered in leather. I am now wanting to replace all the vinyl in the interior with matching vinyl from the seats, but need to kow how many yards I should buy? I plan on replacing the following. 1. Strut towers and wheel wells 2. Dog panels behind the seats 3. Storage panel front 4. Headliner 5. A pillers 6. Top of windshield 7. Sunvisors 8. Scuff plates 9. Panel on Back hatch 10. MSA Style speaker panel So how many yards of vinyl would you think is needed?
  4. I have autocrossed my car and I have stock brakes on it. There was never a braking problem, as a matter of fact we would lock them up sometimes. For braking your stocks will hold up just fine. If you want the brakes to look cooler then up grade. Just my opinion..

Does anyone know of the font that was used on the lettering and numbers of the Early Z gauges. Plan on using photoshop and a little time to make some variations of the stock Gauge faces. Maybe white maybe a vinal overlay of the original look. Who knows. Just wondering on fonts..
  6. I like that write up, pretty good stuff there. I see alot of info about using with carburetors, does this work with fuel injection also?
  7. Captain The boot is from a different car and I plugged it. I replaced the stock one with this one due to the stock boot being pretty beat up and torn. My car is a 76 but it has an engine from 77 as I have a N47 head and the numbers do not match. Dont worry about me though.. I do have a nice F54 NA block and a N42 head to replace it with when I run it to complete stoppage. After trying Autocross this weekend for the first time an engine replacement may come sooner than later. That AFM has also been replaced so there is no longer any tape. These were the first pics of the car after I got it, much has changed.
  8. My is routed this way. I have a 76 and no emissions either.
  9. No it goes under your intake manifold.

Use a leaf blower, hair dryer, air hose...
  11. Techno Toy Tuning has great products. I have used them and know others that have their stuff on their cars. I have the coil-overs they make and they are top notch all the way around. Great price for great quality items. Plan to buy more items from them as soon as she lets go of the wallet...

Save the cah and get a set of fender mirrors. Just my 2 cents. You could wait for Will to finish his mirror project..
  13. My opinion (which don't amount to squat) is mods to the outside like g-nose, headlight covers, louvers, cowl hood, air dams, spoilers, flares, mirrors are not that big they have been around since the start but to have mods like square headlights, corvette tail lights, chopping the top, changing the hatch are out of control and make the car look like something out of a horror flick. I like a Z to look like it was supposed to look, not like a crazy fiberglass project from some sculptor. When it comes to the engine transplants of things other than Nissan L engines are not my idea of a true Z. When you put a Chevy, ford, dodge, Toyota ect in it changes the car to a custom hotrod. Inside Upgrading seats, lights, stereo, fabric or gauges is not that big of a deal. Improve on the technology but do go so far out there that you destroy the idea of what the car was meant to be.

  15. So now that I have my coil-overs on the car I am looking for my rims and tires. I know what I want and have some ideas about where to get them. I would like to hear where you bought your wheels so we may make a list of possible suppliers. http://www.racinglab.com/ http://www.wheeldude.com/wordpress/ http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/CTGY/WWC http://www.18racing.com/index.html
  16. So finished up a 2 day project of installing new Techno Toy Tuning coil-overs. I have some Indy mags that are 14" and I am having a serious time with the ball joints(oem) Rubbing on the rim. For those that have ran or run this setup what size rims and tires did you go with, back spacing width ect would be a great Plus. Pictures would also be wonderful.
  17. I miss my R-12 system so much colder than R134.
  18. I would be prepared to break at least 1 if not 2. Usally 1 or 6 is all ready broken. Becareful if 6 is not broken remove it with care. Very tight fit to get a drill in that area. Like leon said buy the MSA kit along with a bolt extraction setup. If your lucky you can take the extraction setup back. A nice propane torch works great. to heat things up. I have used the nissan gasket and the felpro gasket and both are great gaskets. I would buy the cheapest one of the two. Good luck, John

I have heard of the Fuel Presure regulator not functioning under a load but will read just fine when idle or reving. Double check that TPS and its getting good conection. How old is your fuel filter? To me it sounds like your car is starving for fuel. Check your filters even the one inside of your fuel tank. Good Luck John
  20. No.. It won't fit the end fittings are differrent.
  21. Just did one of these on a friends 260. We had some of those issues you are talking about. If you are trying to do this with the diff still in the car you are doing it the hard way. With the diff out its a very simple job. We had to place the GM mount in first. Then bolted one side of the mount up. We then used another jack to push the mount into the possition on the other side. The fit is very tight and worth the trouble. Good luck.. John
