  1. Thanks guys for getting yours up before Thursday. Hope eveyone enjoys the upside of this article.
  2. The guy must be crazy HLS30-00006 was a dark green when it came to the US. Whats funny is he says its been garage keep all original but at the end the 69 240Z is a project car. Does not add up right.

Looks great. Love the blue, but you missed a spot. When it comes to painting some painters want it assembled so the color will match better but others like to paint each part separated so they can get to every angle.
  4. Did you remove the dash? Did you put new bulbs in? Did you check the fuses? Are all the wires connected (right)? Is the battery connected? Does the car still start and run? more exact info needed to give better advice.
  5. Put the 77 parts on the 78. Why waste a new paint job. Use the 77 as a parts car. You could also drive both and use the 78 for weekends and meetings.
  6. Sounds like d240zx2 wants you to rebuild the engine. I would say to heck with it and drop an L28 in its placce that runs better. Now if you have matching numbers keep the old one and rebuild it. If money is an issue go with L28 if not then go crazy with the L24.

I don't like the atlantic Z set up, did that and it just does not fit right. Drilling and sorts. If you want quiet then use the nylon/plastic bushings if you want long life out of them, use the brass ones.

Hope this can help you. It will give you an Idea of what is there or what is missing. Pages from 20BF-2.pdf

Not trying to be rude but do a search and you will find what you need to do this job right. POR 15 the darn thing and be done. Mine had pin holes and now they are gone.
  10. Saddam Hussein, Osama bin Laden, Barack Hussein Obama His name is enough for me not to vote.
  11. Here is the best and probly the cheapest. Smiple Green. I spray it on undiluted and then wipe clean and rinse with water. Best of all it hurts nothing. For that hard to get spot a nylon or brass brsh does the trick. It also leaves a shine.

Wish you luck on the new Z car. I wish I has a 1927 240Z. I would sell it for a couple of Million. No just kidding. Make sure you give it a real good tune up before starting. Plugs, Oil, Radiator Water and Ect. Welcome and feel free to ask questions after searching.
  13. I drive my Z's year round. The 1990 in the summer, has AC, and the 1976 in the winter , has Heat, but I get no snow and blazing hot summers so I guess if you love your Z move down south to Savannah, GA
  14. Not enough info to risk that money for it. I understand that Subaru has parts to fit Datsun, Nissan and many other Applications but who wants to spend 100.00 bucks just to find out its not the right model or year.
  15. Just looking for 82-84 maxima diesel engine for sale. Complete Any thoughts or places to look?
  16. Here in GA my 76 just needed a bill of sale to registar it and not a title. It was considered to old for a title.

You can get new lines custom made and they are not that bad to put in as said before. As far as the tank, drop it and POR-15 it. My local radiator shop will still boil the tank at special request but if you were to bring the tank to them and say clean it of rust they will fill it with muriatic acid and rinse it about 5 or 6 times. So if you think you can handle it do it yourself and save $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
  19. The sticker price on a 76 280Z was closer to 7,000 with dealer installed AC. 6,754.00 without AC and after all preparation. At least thats what my window sticker says. http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=22952&cat=500&ppuser=9867
  20. I could not get the electric window to roll down in the 300ZX this weekend. After about 2 days of exhilarating fun I said to heck with it. Put everything back together and found out that I hit the window lock button 2 days before so the child would not play with it.
  21. What I find interesting is the steering wheel is in very nice condition. Wow what a project that would be.

tah, I think you are missing a couple of screws You are going to have to lay on your back and take a good look at whats up in there. Maybe you will find whats holding you down.

That tank does not look NOS (New Old Stock) it looks more like UOS (Used Old Stock). Would like to see the inside of it. If there were pictures of that then the price would be a bit more by now.. If it was new there would be no sending unit in it. The pads on the top would be cleaner and the drain plug would not be there.
  24. I think he could get 45K for this car (not from me). He won best of show and best paint on the West coast, cool for him that's only a little part of this world. Nothing againt the West coast guys but if he built this car to sell then he should go win a few more car shows and give the car some history and exposure. If money is not the issue for selling then he should have been at the Z Nationals in Datona this month and should have made the NPOI nationals in Atlanta last month. Hit a couple of other shows and win some prizes then try and sell it. Thats what I would have done.
