I have never liked the way that hose was designed. Had a 77 that would melt them on a monthly basis. Use the heat shields. I have modified my to use steel braided hose. Good luck
  5. I love my bushing kit. Well worth the effort in the long run. Used the grease supplied with no problems. I still have a few things to do but will get to that when the coil-over are ready. Need to re built the rear end completely. After all the help I have given in the past few weeks to my car club I expect a hand here and there.
  6. I am about to dig into an engine and was wondering if the Connector-pipe is removable. The pipe I am talking about goes from the engine block to the PCV valve and is located under the intake at the front of the engine. It is high lighted for those who can't tell...
  7. The turn signals and hazards are a pain to deal with once they start acting up. I had problems with mine snot working at all after I pulled the dash and found that the light behind the guage was not grounded all the way after I replaced the bulb. Was running in circles trying to fix it. Double check your bulbs along with your connections.
  8. I have replaced the shorter linkage with some linkage from a Mercedes. Its all metal and very easily adjustable.
  9. Go ahead and have it done. its not gonna hurt anything.
  10. So no thoughts guys?
  11. I have a chance to pick up an older Datsun project truck for 600. I am wondering what everyone thinks of this. Needs engine rebuilt and some work but is this a good deal on this truck? Thanks John
  12. @LeonV I was typing on the iphone so auto correct was in full effect. T-5 not T-56. T-56 is for a different kind of beast...
  13. Check the door plate to find out exact yea and build date. The zx tranny will fit without a custom drive shaft. The T-56 is the turbo tranny. You may need the zx drive shaft but I believe it's the 240 that needs the longer drive shaft to use the zx 5 speed tranny.
  14. Take a look at Blue's page, he has great write ups on the AFM. http://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/EFI&fuel.htm
  15. Remember you will have tranny fluid coming out the back of the transmission when you remove the drive shaft. Always a nice mess when you forget...
  16. Go to NAPA and buy this fuel filter. along with about 2 ft of 1/2" fuel hose. NAPA Part # Gold 3299 I used it for sometime till the tank was sealed with POR. John

Its no bid deal to remove. Mine has been off for sometime and have not noticed a difference.
  18. @ Sblake - I am glad you don't have a snuggie (snugZZie?) Having one would most likely have ruined your reputation. @ Zbane - Great Mod for the idea. Throw some neon lights in and we might have something.
