Stephen. I just spoke to Elvan this morning. He is still working on our Z Cars, although not out of the old shop. He is working out of his house in Pomona until he can open another shop. He recently rebuilt a Z for one of the members on the board, Syd and it came out great. Elvan asked me to pass the word out that if anyone needs assisitance he is still available. His cell phone number is (909) 908-0804. As you and I know, his knowledge of all things Z is amazing and he is an excellent technician and mechanic.

Thanks Bob. If you have his contact info that would be great. Another set of skilled eyes and hands to look at it would keep me from tearing up every time I get in it. Are you going to the Muck this year?

Not good with the dent guy. He said he could not get it out. So I will live with it until I bite the bullet and have all of the dents fixed. The dent stares me in the face every time I get in the car.

Michael. I have a spare you can have, The one I have is not the same as a 1971 horn pad. It is larger than my 71 horn pad. Is a 72 horn pad different than a 71? If so I live in Pomona too. No shipping charges.
  13. Hi Jay. Beautiful creation as always. I love your parts. Hope all is well.
  14. Not the Audi Stephen, but many others. If you look closely in the first shot of the Alfa, you will see my car in the background. (its the blue Prius. HaHa). Interesting side comment next. When I first started my employ he bought a Maranello. This was prior to us getting to know one another. I asked him for a ride in it. He told me my chest wasn't big enough. Never did get a ride in that one. The ALfa is not much bigger than our S30s. It is a small car.
  15. This was faster, we hit about 168 on the same freeway last month. A 2010 458. Beautiful car.
  16. My boss is a car collector. I got to ride in this last week about 155 down the 73. Alfa 8c.
  17. Rich. My condolences to you and your family. Losing you father is a tough one.
  18. Maybe we should start our own event Rich. "Build it and they will come." We could call it hte R&R Datsun Motorcar Extravaganza. The RRDME.

You just may want to consider the environment before pulling the smog pump.
  20. Hey Rich. For my straps i just used SEM Landau Black and sprayed them three years ago. They still look brand new.
  21. Jamie. The Pertronix is a good way to go. I have one in my semi high performance speed boat with a Mallory Distributor. I've had it in there for ten years with no problems, no replacement. There is not much you have to do, just put in the unit where the points are located and use the sleeve for the rotor. Two wires come out and get hooked up. If you search here for pertronix you will dicover where to hook up the wires.

I think he is looking for the center cap Frank, not the screws.

The people that minted this are the Perth Mint. They mint many silver coins and are said to be a reputable outfit, from what I can tell. If I were to buy one, I would get it from them, not from an ebay seller. It is an actual coin from Tuvalu. They mint all sorts of coins. It is a way for them to make extra cash. Not a rich state to say the least.
  24. Nice job Rich. Wish I had some silver wires for ya.
