Ok, so with the zg flares, the inner fender has to be rewelded to the outer in the rear.... but not the front? And to Kiwi's comment, I think the V8, and many other change will change the value of the car, but I'm not looking at the resale... so thanks

Hey guys, Trying to see if I want to get some fiberglass fenders for the front of the Z. I know that if you put ZG flares on, you have to cut the fender, then reweld it. What happens if you take off the metal fender, and bolt in a fiberglass fender? Would that weaken the car, or is there some other thing to install that I'm missing?

Looks like a Rinspeed.... This awesome engineering company in Switzerland. Not 100% sure, but it looks like his type of work.... look the company up in google. They have a car that extends and shortens for parallel parking, and a boat/car.

When my friend and his father first got his frame off restoration 71 MGB started up they ran it on stands at about 2000RPM for about 20 minutes, then varied the rpm at different intervals. They did tons of work on that small 4 cyl, and the thing it a beast.

Hey guys, I will be going to Japan March of 2007. We will be flying into Tokyo, and doing most things around there, and "electronics city", and whatever else. I am wondering if anyone knows car things to do around there. If anyone know of places to find where shows, races, drifting, or any museums to go to. It will be the last week of March. Hey guys, I think I have an exhaust leak, and when I was checking it out, I saw this, which doesn't look too stock, but I'm not sure. Can anyone ID if this is a stock piece on the 260z exhaust, or if its some sort of exhaust leak fix? Thanks, Joe

I've heard of something like pickle-z, or something? Is that something I could cover up in between? Its not like I'd be driving it everyday, maybe 3 times a week max. Or POR-15?

If I get it tuned up and drive it daily, but do bodywork at times.... Can I still strip it to metal for the bodywork, and drive it? I'd need to put something over it after each time I work on it right, so it doesn't rust? Just use spray can primer or soemthing?

I might be going out the in March of 07.... please pray for me that it all works out. I'll have to start saving money to get some Watanabes

Hey guys, Just finished the brakes and suspension on my 74 260z. And trying to figure out what I want to do. The ultimate goal, however long it will take, is a chevy engine swap with a very nice daily driver and take to shows a lot. I have some transportation whenever I need it right now, but that could change and I might need the Z... but thats not a definite. So some things I was thinking about was: 1) Pay to get car tuned, and the drivetrain lubed and stuff so car can be driven daily. Then do bodywork. 2) Or start stripping the car to start working on the bodywork. I just can't make up my mind...

My car does the same thing.... is it when you start to give it gas it sometimes (not everytime) sputters and backfires as you give it gas, then does normal (sometimes loud) backfire on deceleration?

Haha, yes.... I do Anyone have any hints towards the rough running and the backfiring? timing? carbs?

Hey guys, You probly know of my last post "How does it Sound?" Well so far I have only replaced the fan clutch with another used fan clutch, sounds quieter! But you can hear the rest of the engine. Also, need to do some tuning, theres a nice POP at the end of the video which startled me a bit... haha Heres the video, let me know what you think.

Hey guys, took a look through the holes and the inside of the panels look perfect. this was only with a flashlight since I don't have an angled mirror yet, but I will find out soon what it looks like back there soon

Took some pics First two are from the outside, looking at where the front meets the fender, then third is the rear quarter joint, and the others are after I peeled away the stripping and the underside of that panel inside the car. After looking at the front joint, it looks like there might be some rust on that corner of the fender. It looks like I'm going to have to strip the paint on the car to see how bad it is.... hopefully I don't find too many surprises.

Thanks guys, I should probably strip the paint down before I make the full decision, but I think a new rocker panel will be good... from the outside of the car it is recessed, so its not smooth. Anybody ever have a shop do this for them? I'd love to do the work myself, but I just don't have the money to buy a welder or anything. Just curious on any "estimates". Thanks again guys.

Well, the suspension started Thanksgiving and ended end of January. That was while going to school and working. I did all urethane everywhere under the car, tokico illuminas, and AZ car springs. I painted and cleaned some stuff up under there while I was taking my time. I'd say if I had all the tools and everything, it could be done in a weekend. (48 hours straight) haha. Carb swap took a weekend, thanks a lot to you colorado! I gotta now do tranny and differential fluid, and fix the urethane squeaks, and clunks of drivetrain. Also did the S12+8 brake swap.
