I'm not sure how many have seen this post in the Race Announcements, but there's t-shirts and raffle tickets for sale from the Pinks Race Team. Here's the thread with the info: ClassicZCars.Com Pinks Raffle Link We still need to sell some tickets so everyone willing to put a little forward for a chance at a lot please do so. Your chances are better than the lotto!
  3. We're really close on the tickets. Just a few more and the raffle will start! Pick up a couple more tickets and increase your chances to win!
  4. They are still taking orders. I think how it works is they take orders and after so many are requested they put the order in, have them printed and when they arrive they divy it out and ship them to the respective requestees. Last time I think took a week for everything to go out.
  5. Ok, check THIS out for the HybridZ Team shirts. I guess they're still taking orders on them.
  6. I can't say at the moment. I guess there was a non-disclosure agreement to keep the details of the show in the dark until it airs.
  7. The engine didn't blow.
  8. QUOTE From Garrett (part of Team HybridZ): Ours was the first episode filmed for the 3rd season i believe. The 3rd season will begin airing in July. So I'm not sure if we will be the first one shown or not . . .
  9. I'll see what they say about the T-Shirts.
  10. No problem, I'll post the date as soon as we find out.
  11. I can't say whether we won or lost. Not until it airs which should be sometime in the next month or so.
  12. Details on the engine are below. The race is over and I can't give any details as to the outcome, but yes they do have the car. We have to wait until after the show airs to say what happened. Pink's Long Block Raffle: P90 head Rusch motorsports P&P Rusch motorsports 3 angle valvejob All ports cleaned/repaired on all threads New valvestem seals Isky Cam Isky valvetrain Block: F54/P90 purchase AZ Car forged pistons ARP Head Studs ARP Main Studs ARP Rod Bolts Toga HV oilpump HKS 2MM headgasket Clevitte 77 bearings through out All new freeze plugs Ceramic coatings by PolyDyn Cryotreatment 240z rods Polished 240z rods Anti-friction coatings by PolyDyn Machine work to go .040 for the AZC pistons Machine work for balancing/blueprint of entire rotating assembly Machine work for assembly of shortblock New timing kit New water pump Gasketing through out New front and rear mains
  13. Yes, the Pinks team is still accepting purchases for the raffle tickets. The engine is a go for being raffled off. There's also thoughts rolling around about selling off other parts of the car to raise more money to cover the costs of the trip and everything. So, for all those interested in the Pinks Long block, the only thing we're waiting on is more tickets to sell.
  14. Actually I'm simply involved helping the guys who were building it get the word out. I wish I could have been there helping them get things done. I'll ask if they're still accepting raffle tickets even though the race is over.
  15. Will do, Chris, thanks for the support!
  16. That's it! Thank you 26th-Z for clearing that up for me. I apologize that the ad wasn't very clear, but that's what we were given to advertise with. Let me just say it's an incredible car and win or loose I think it's a worth while gamble. Really it's right up there with buying a bunch of lottery tickets. Thanks to those that have donated or bought a raffle ticket.
  17. You don't see how it supports the community? So putting a Z Car on national television on a very popular show doesn't give the community more visability? Seeing a car similar to the one some guy in BFE has in his barn on television racing, might just be the driving force to bring that old Z out of the barn and get involved with it. The more people that get into the restorations and build ups, the more demand there is for parts which brings about lower prices and more availability for the rest of us.
  18. Ok here it is...Crunch time. The Pinks Z is on it's way to FL for dial in and final tuning before the race. THEY NEED AS MUCH SUPPORT AS THEY CAN GET!!! We still need to sell more raffle tickets and and anyone that can donate please do so! Help them show the nation what a well built Z Car can do! Support the community by supporting the Pinks Z!
  19. I'm pretty sure "E" marked parts were use on other vehicles as well. This may have been off one of the roadsters or something. Not an original Z part, but the guy believes it to be a sedan part. What other vehicles in the early 70's did Nissan put out with the L6? All I know of are the Z's. The 510's I thought had a 4? Could eb wrong. This would be interesting to get details on.

Looks like a 240, but I can't be for sure as it's very well modded. Nice looking Z. Anyhow, if you're running EFI check the temp sensor. Depending on the year of the engine it will be either in thermostat houseing or between cylinders 5&6 on the passengers side. Clean the connection real good. If you're carbed, you might have a vacuum leak. Could be the coil going bad and it only acts up when it gets hot. Help us narrowthis down because it doesn't sound like a solenoid problem...

  24. Alright, were going to do a raffle for the longblock that will go into the Pinks car. We've decided to do this as such, we will sell tickets @ $26 per ticket, that way it should be w/ in everyones budget to a degree. We must sell a minimum of 275 tickets. We'll cap sales at 325 tickets or 5 days after the 275 mark has been broken, whichever occurs 1st. In buying these raffle tickets you will be helping fund the pinks build so that we can complete the car, and bring the most competitive S30/L block to pinks that is presently possible! We cannot talk specifics of the motor on unsecured forums, but it will be safe to say that even if you bought $1000 in raffle tickets, you'd still be making out like a bandit if you won... What i will say is this, 7.79:1 CR motor, so silly amounts of boost, forged parts, coatings, and a lightened/balanced assembly. Fast and strong... That being said, i want it to be abundantly clear in how this will work, this is a raffle for the complete longblock from valve cover to oil pan out of the Pinks car engine bay. In this raffle you will be bidding on the motor we will be racing in the actual car, this is a show based around the premiss of gambling. That being said the tickets being sold in this raffle, are being sold with the known factor that the raffle will only go through in full, if we win the race, if we do not win we are at the mercy of the competitors. I want that to be abundandtly clear to ANYONE who intends on purchasing tickets. If you purchase a ticket, and are the winner of the raffle, you would be asked not to publish anything about it until AFTER the show airs. Meaning if you intend to get on other forums and brag about having the Pinks motor, put it on ebay, talk about it in a blog, whatever... we'd ask that you wait until the episode has aired. The drawing for the raffle would be done once we have returned home, we would either do a live webchat, or notify the winner via e-mail, or if the board see's fit, i'm considering trying to get Rich to draw the ticket right there on air, then leave everyone in suspense until the show airs. The winner will be responsible for getting the engine to there doorstep, we'll work w/ shippers and all that, but the fee's involved are on the shoulders of the winner. Tickets would be awarded in numerical order as they are claimed. This all having been said, we will begin taking ticket purchases now. If you want to purchase a ticket: We will be accepting paypal, cash, cashiers check, etc... the sooner your payment, the sooner you have secured a ticket basically. If paying by paypal: - Paypal to GuyStrtRcr18@hotmail.com - Include your board name, and what board you are from in the additional information box! Can't keep track of screen names if we don't have yours! - Include your home address.

I say go for it. The difference is most likely cosmetic.
