It could. Where did you get the header from? I'd be worried that the bracket would rub through the runner. Is it possible to grind the piece that's rubbing down a bit so it doesn't rub. The engine shouldn't shift that much in the bay so you won't more than 1/4" clearance.

Wow...I've never heard of that one before. I would start by checking the wiring under the dash. Look for something that's been added in. I'll bet a PO has done some monkey wiring under the dash and bridge a connection he shouldn't have. Check behind the radio specifically. Usually that's where they make the most mistakes when putting in aftermarket radios.

Now something I didn't mention immediately over there was yes I passed this guy half a mile before he started riding me. He was tailgating someone else in the left lane at that time and I easily went around in the right lane. Somehow passing this guy while he's tailgating others is his trigger because that's where it all started. Last night heading home from evening services at church a black Dodge Dakota comes flying up behind me on the highway. This guy had to be about 2 feet from my bumper. This is one of my biggest pet peeves. I hate tailgaters. Trying to warn the guy I tap the brakes. He stays on top of me so hit them a little harder. The guy slams on his brakes then stops on the gas gets even closer. There's no one around so he could have passed me. Of course now I'm pissed. This guy is close enough I can't see his headlights in my review. I start down shifting, he slams on the brakes and STAYS behind me. Finally after slowing down to almost 35 he pulls into the other lane to pass me. I hit it in 3rd and pulled well ahead and caught up with the rest of the traffic in front. Hoping I finally got rid of this guy I pull in the right lane and just cruise with everyone else. Out of nowhere he comes flying up behind me again, pulls onto the shoulder in the grass pulls up beside me and pulls into the lane forcing his way between me and the car in front of me then slams on his brakes in the middle of the highway. This guys insane. I pulled back and stayed about 8 car lengths off as the guy pulls out in front of everyone after almost running two other cars off the road. He's still playing games at this point. He's lane dancing with no cars around him, splitting lanes then slams on the brakes and heads off on a side road. Of course during all this I have the wife call the cops and report it. They said they would dispatch a State Trooper. Never saw him. So out of curiosity I pull off at the next exit. I figured I knew where the guy was going so I back tracked to the two trailer parks off the exit he took. Sure enough I found his crappy little trailer with the truck parked and him and his buddies on the front porch. We call the cops back and they say there's nothing they can do because it's my word against his. This guy could have seriously killed someone and they don't care. We had plates numbers and an address and it didn't matter. Just for grins I slowly pulled by the guys place making sure he could see me. As soon as he spotted the ZX he said something to the guy beside him who ran back in the house while he backed up on the porch and watched us leave the trailer park. Some people need to be shot. Regardless of the fact that we banned almost everyone associated with the build for reasons NOT associated with the PINKS filming, I can tell you that WE at HYBRIDZ are proud of how they negotiated and how it went down... The reason the Chevy driver continued to look back was so he could adjust how far ahead of the Z he was. On top of all the problems the team had with the car, they were supposed to race a Camaro with stock suspension and 5 speed. Something a little more managable. The Camaro crashed before the show and the Monte "somehow" was the next in line. Funny how this happens a lot on Pinks. You go from a decent match to a completely unfair race in no time. Before it's all said and done, an import doesn' have a chance on that show. Could have been better, but I don't think they would have won no matter what.

Ok again, did you use the Haynes Manual for your firing order? If you did that's what your problem is. Go HERE and get the FSM for the proper firing order.

Trumpet tubes? Sounds like velocity stacks. This car isn't stock is it?

BMW's are expensive for parts and way over rated. Porche is nothing but a wound up VW. Keep the Z, buy a rolling chassis to transfer everything into or get replacement panels and straighten her out as much as possible. Check out Black Dragon Auto for replacement panels.

Sounds like the sensor went bad. If it's not reading the way it should it needs to be replaced.

I hate to say it, but if the new 350Z is being compared to the 911, which although it's the most commonly known, is the worst performing porsche compared to todays standards. The early Z's were compared with Porche and Jag etc...of it's era. I would be more impressed if it were comparable to todays M5 or something. Then again 350Z doesn't impress me anyway.

Sweet isn't it? The 240Z made Car and Driver top 100 at number 43 I believe, for all time best sports cars.

That is one of two that were sold at auction on eBay a couple years ago. Both of them together didn't go for that much though. The guy is really trying to pull a profit or really just not interested in selling.

Sounds to me like you need to pull both off and recheck the setting per the FSM.

Pull the cover off that TPS and check it out. There's not much to them really. Could just be bad contacts or moisture in it.

If you seriously can't find anything in Cali, there's Arizona (highly recommended), New Mexico, Texas, Nevada, etc...There's Z cars closer to you and Arizona is your best bet.

It sounds like your fuel pump is kicking the bucket. It will stop pumping randomly and eventually it will just stop all together.

I understand that, if you don't care then don't post a response. It's not spam, although it is kind of phishing. I'm just trying to get anyone that may not already know about it or anyone that's new and hasn't seen the post yet. Never know what you can come up with. Ever one ticket helps us out a lot.
