  1. Talked to the local Nissan dealer today, the can get me new ball-joints. But they are not on stock in Europe so they have to be ordered from Nissan in Japan. And, now for the nice part..... they go for US$ 204.- a piece....
  2. Kenny, another company I have doen business with in the past (to satisfaction) has these for sale. They say they are Mcquay-Norris ball-joints, but they are different to the Mcquay-Norris ball-joints you have pictured in the thread you posted. Do you know if Mcquay-Norris makes different styles? Thanks for all the help and replies so far!
  3. Do these look familiar to anyone? I mean does anyone have a similar pair mounted to the control arms?
  4. Looking at the balljoints on the RockAuto parts website. What would be the best choice? - Spicer - Beck/Arnley - Moog - ACDelco :surprised Thanks
  5. So you would get them from the dealer? Maybe I should bring the control arms along to the shop. BTW, is this a known problem with non-original Nissan parts?
  6. A few months ago I got me a new set of 'made in Germany' ball-joints on Ebay as part of my front-end 'project'. At last I came around to fitting the ball-joints to the control arms today, but to my surprise the mounting holes do not allign with those on the control arm. The are a few millimeters of. What do I do now, throw the Ebay parts away and get me a proper set from the dealer or do I grind the lower metal housing until the holes line up? :stupid: Thanks.

Would one like this do the trick on Z car ball joints?

Thanks. I searched for Ball Joint Extractor, but that search returned articles about broken bolts and taps only.

What do you expert mechanics use for a ball joint extractor? I need to get the ball joint of of the steering arm and I also want to replace the trackrod-ends with new ones. Thanks

Got mine at www.rockauto.com, they are new motors. Cost $ 21.79 The motors are listed as parts for Honda cars, but are identical to the Datsun washer motors.

As I found out, the Trico #11-601 washer-pump is identical to the Datsun one.

For my '74 260 I am looking for a washer pump to replace one that is leaking fluid through the motor.

Thanks I will. Have to find a pair of grease points to replace the bolts though.

Hi. Just got me two original Nissan tie rod ends for my 260Z on Ebay. They have small bolts on the ends where the grease nippels go. My question is, do these tie rod ends com pre-greased from Nissan? Thanks :nervous:
  18. The energy suspension bushing for the compression rod I recevied where fitted with the 'flat' sides in contact with each other. (confusing):surprised The Chilton repair manual has an extra note that says: '...that being with the rounded edge of the bushing contacting the mounting hole on the vehicle.' The sleeves that came with the set are 52mm in length. I think I will fit them according to the note in the Chilton manual.
  19. Mike, did you ever complete the job fitting the airdam to your car? Is it a bolt on type of job or did you have to make modifications? I am considering buying the same type 2 airdam for my late 74.

What is a good address (webshop) for buying a smog pump v-belt for my late '74 260Z without AC? They are not available here in the Netherlands. Thanks.

Do they outclass Dave's headlight relay rewiring?

Maybe it is the bad Japanse to English translation, but my 1974 factory service manual spells 'gauges'. And so does the Chilton and the Haynes manual. :classic:
  24. 62vette replied to 62vette's post in a topic in Open Discussions
And vs 240Z bumpers? The early 260Z bumpers already have the shock setup where the 240's don't.

There aren't many wrecking yards here that have these kind of classics. Mostly younger cars.
