Hey Carl-good points, which I will try to answer here. 1) The artwork is on the front, as shown in the photos. 2) I have asked any interested buyers to message me-easy and something that all members of the forum have access to. Of course, any interested buyers will get my info, including my PayPal email address and my mailing address, in case they choose to pay by money order instead of PayPal, at which time I would be needing their address so that I know where to send the shirts to. It's a two-way street, you know. 3) Thanx for pointing out the difference in the MO's-that's a US detail that I was not aware of living here in Canada. 4) The price of the shirts is in US funds. Assuming that the majority of the members of this forum live in the US, I didn't think to specify that. 5) The discount for two or more shirts would be reflected in the fact that I can probably put 2 or 3 shirts together in one parcel for less than the 7.50 per shirt I specified. If anyone wanted more than one shirt I would find that out for them. Hope I have managed to straighten it out-I had thought my original post was pretty straight-forward, but apparently not; it's obviously a work in progress!! -Mikey

Hey, too bad I don't have the financial resources to make shirts with every series of Z and in every colour as well. I hadn't intended to offer a shirt that would only appeal to all the owners of red 240Z's! ! My Z was silver when I got it, then I had it repainted blue, so blue was my first choice for the shirt. In the end I went with red because I thought it was a bit more eye-catching. Who knows these things? By the way, Doug, I LOVE the colour of your Z-that would have been a good choice as well, but it's too late for that. -Mikey

Hi Curtis I, like you, am more familiar with screen printed than laser printed shirts. I am the designer of the shirts and had them printed by a third party, having chosen the laser print because I thought it would give a truer reproduction of my design (which it has) and also because the shirt ends up having a more 'organic' feel than with a screen print (the design is 'in' the fabric rather than feeling like you are walking around with a chunk of rubber adhered to the front of your shirt, which, in my experience, tends to crack with repeated washings anyway). That being said, I have continually worn my own shirt and washed it at least a dozen times and any amount of fade in the design has been minimal when compared to my unsold shirts. I have contacted the manufacturer and they have assured me these laser prints have the same durability rating as screen printed shirts, considering that a small amount of fade is normal in ANY garment. They DO recommend that you wash the shirts inside out in cold water, which should be the case with any printed garment anyway. Hope that answers your question satisfactorily. I personally am thrilled with the way the shirts have turned out and think you will be too. -Mikey

Jayhawk, way to go! I too owned a 240Z (1972) as my first car, but am even MORE ASHAMED to say that I didn't have the foresight to get the rust spots taken care of when they started to appear. Instead, I traded it in on a VW GTI (which was a pretty good car, but NOTHING like the Z!), when I needed a back seat to tote around our first-born daughter. I told myself that some day I would get another one, and here I am, 5 vehicles later, desperately seeking the means to do just that. Hope to hear about your progress on the resto... -Mikey

Oops, good points, Carl! You're obviously more of an entrepreneur and businessman than me. What I am is an artist and a Z-lover that is excited to be able to use my gifts to capture my favourite car of all time in a manner that I feel other Z-nuts like myself will want to have a part of. I'm just so darn excited to see the shirts, and I think others will be as well, so I guess I should just let the shirts speak for themselves. -Mikey

Some of you may remember me posting that I have been trying to get some 240Z shirts (a caricatured version of a red Z) printed to try to earn some money for my 'Buy-a-Z' fund, and they are finally getting printed! My original order of 50 are supposed to be in the mail back to me by this Friday, December 15th, and hopefully the PO will be able to get them here fairly quickly despite the Christmas mailing rush. Bob, I wasn't offended in the least-not one bit! I just worry that as the prices go up and up, my chances of ever finding one that I can afford get slimmer and slimmer. I can understand what you're saying about their increase in price making the aftermarket parts manufacturers do their part, too. Just hope that they are not out of reach by the time my kids are self-sufficient and I try to find one. The first car I ever owned was a '72 240Z, and I want another one so badly I can taste it, and I think the Barrett-Jacksons of this world are criminally responsible for making more and more cars unaffordable to the normal guys. The original Z I had was a daily driver, before I knew about the harm of doing that where I live, but if I ever get another one, it certainly won't be as a daily driver OR an investment, I can tell you that! It will be for recreational, fair-weather driving only (but not a toy in my opinion either), so for me, I don't feel that it would be a big deal to me if it did or didn't appreciate in value. And about the billet-wheeled, flamed Z going on the block-it doesn't appeal to a lot of us here, but some unsophisticated Muscle Car guy will probably go for it just because of those features! ! -Mikey

Easy for you to say, and everybody wants to be able to pump up their already great car by being able to brag how much it's worth, but I hate to hear it! I'm one of the unlucky guys who doesn't have a Z yet, and the last thing I want is for them to shoot up a whole bunch before I can get up the scratch to buy one, especially since I'm no mechanic by any stretch of the imagination and will need to find one in good shape. If they get too expensive, I will NEVER have one again, and that KILLS! -Mikey

I had a sunroof installed in my original Z, and I loved it-the extra light and air it allowed in. Never had a problem with leaking, but the headliner started to loosen up and I (being not too handy or knowledgeable on the subject of repairing it) tried rather unsuccessfully to repair it and was never happy with the way it looked again. -Mikey

Yep, I agree. To me, the only thing for an early Z is the aluminum slots like the dealers put on them. -Mikey

As I have stated before, I am not a mechanic by any means. Spent all my youth dreaming about cars but playing guitar instead. My first car was a 72 240Z and I want to get another one when I can get up the scratch. I have heard about a few that may be available where I live, but need to know what to look for in rust issues, and if I can find out their condition without having to do any mechanical probing. The areas I know about are the seams under the doors, battery tray, floorpans, rear wheel wells, and tops of the front fenders. Are there more, and how do I determine the actual condition of these areas? Under the doors can be determined by at least looking for bubbling or rust patches I know, but how do you know how extensive any rust there would be if there is some sign of it starting? Battery tray-is removing the battery and looking under it sufficient to check this area out? Floorpans-do you need to remove the carpet to find out if there are any issues there, or can you tell from under the car? Rear wheel wells-I would guess that anything there you could see just by having a look. Tops of the front fenders-my old Z had rust there that just eventually showed up as some blistering, but is there a way you can get a look at this area and check it out when there is no blistering present? Are there any other areas to be checking out on a Z besides these? I'm sure I sound like a dummy, but being the non-mechanical guy that I am, I have to learn how to find a Z somewhere along the way that doesn't put me in over my head with body and mechanical issues. I know that's a tall order, but I have to learn how to assess the condition of any Z I might come across. I would assume that the body condition is the main issue, but after that, are there any actual mechanical areas of concern to check out?
