Yes, that is exactly what I did! So full of rust, what a waste to even keep around any more. Here was its last day with me as I loaded it up to take to the crusher.
  2. It doesn't look like any factory part I've ever seen. It could be an aftermarket vacuum distribution block to connect a bunch of small hoses together.
  3. Here we are at March 2nd and no update on the 2010 Nationals on Motorsport's website and no dyno signups.
  4. I'll be there on Saturday around noon. I'm camping for the weekend. I will be arriving with a mixed group of Datsuns from the Seattle area. Z-cars, 1200, 510, and 620s mostly.
  5. I fully support RHD Z's being worth crazy amounts of money in resale. :cheeky:

There are better cars to use as a drag racer than a 280ZX. Keep the fuel injection. Check your intake. Make sure the Air Flow Meter (AFM) is connected tight and the hose going from it to the throttle body is solid and all connections are on there. You dont want a huge air leak. It sounds to me like your AFM is just unplugged. Check the plug on the bottom. Make sure it is clean and dry. (and plugged in)
  11. my first Z was hit by a full size truck, a Caddy, and a Suburban. All while parked. sorry to hear about that hood damage. Looks like a nice car

There appear to be HID kits now on eBay for around $80 shipped. They look legit. I was thinking about trying one for my truck but I'm hesitant to buy HIDs for a non-projector housing. I'm sure the road looks good without adjusting those, but have you had the opinion of drivers who have been in front of you or driving the opposite direction? Projectors have a nice clean cutoff where light does not go up into the eyes of oncoming drivers.

the HIDs look nice but I don't think those are projector housings. They are projector "look" lenses, right? Just a round lense in front of your HID element.
