The new Z in person - Chicago Auto Show
I have seen the Z......and it is good. Not great, but looks much better in person than in pictures. The biggest surprise is that it looks NOTHING like an Audi TT, I was really amazed. Kept looking at all angles trying to see what we've all seen in the pix. Still don't like the front end, and the door height is too high. I talked the spokesmodel into letting me stand by the car when the show was closing (see pic below- sorry it's not sharp, my buddy was standing too close to the model I think). I'm 5'10" and the door is higher than my belt-line. Couldn't get in the car but the interior looked very nice. The spokesmodel said this was very close to the production Z but not optioned out like any of the new packages. All-in-all, it's a pretty cool car, easily the best in its price range. But hey, this is a forum, have at it: Check out the pix below;

1973 240Z with awesome probuilt L26 Motor! LR
You have to read the description on this one........what is this guy sniffin'? "We were having problems with the carbs and went and found a holley setup for it. It gives it one carb to adjust. A really nice upgrade. " "When my sister parked it she said it was getting 35 to 40 mpg on the freeway. " "It does need a new battery but the tires are good and I think it would take very little work to get it back on the road." "Buy It Now for $3,750.00" http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1697386260

Polished Intake
The buffing equipment sounds kinda cool, how much? How does it work?? Can't imagine buffing something as intricate at an intake with something like a buffer you would use for waxing the car.

Polished Intake
Here's something you don't see often, a poished intake. Seems kind of pricy, but sure would look nice. -Bill http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=601610775

Driving along, then nothing
I had the exact same problem, drove me crazy. Very sporatic, hard to chase down the problem. I first replaced the coil, seemed to do the job and ran fine for a day or two. Then went back to the same problem. Started replacing various other ignition related parts until I finally bit the bullet and replaced the entire distributor. It's worked perfect since then. Happy hunting. -Bill
