Determining paint code
Yep. The owner cut me break ($500.) and through in some very nice wheels. Floor boards, hood, hatch and front fenders are on order. I am going to gut it out. And get it media blasted. L24 purs very nicely. Want to help take a rust bucket apart?:classic:

Determining paint code
Yes. I bought it. Decided to save a 240z. Walking around Z Atlanta almost brings you to tears seeing all those older Z's bent up and mangled. Sad sight to see. Doing my part to save and not crush. .

Determining paint code
Well. I just recently got my hands on a 71 240z. It appears that the car use to be orange. But unfortunately someone removed the paint sticker on the radiator support and painted the entire engine bay black. The paint sticker has been removed. Looking at the engine bay there are some places where the black paint is pealing and I can see a significant amounts of orange(ie firewall). I also looked under the dash and found orange painted there as well(nothing has been painted there). The floor boards in the car(was left of them) are orange and the jack storage location is orange. The lid. Any other way that I can be determine if it was original orange or not. Thanks.

I did this yesterday. A nice family tree for easy viewing. Still have some holes to fill. Looks like subaru is a distant cousin.

Newbie Hello
Its like night and day. It feels like your more connected to the car in the 240. You feel the weight difference in the cars as well. The scary part is I have a 2003 350z. From 2003-2005 there is little weight difference. The 2006 gained more weight. I was a member of the GA Z club but let my membership lapse. I plan on attending the next meet on Jan 5th. So I will inquire there.

Newbie Hello
Got a question. Was it hard finding one. I love a car you can actually work on? Please dont hold the 350 against me. Love the car but the VQ is a money pit to get horsepower out of. Plus i think the fun factor higher on a 240z.

What model Z do or did you own?
I have a 2003 350z. And love having the Z/Nissan/Datsun JDM bug.

Newbie Hello
Hey everyone. My name is Dewayne this is my 1st post and I am saying hello. My cousin has a 1970 240z that I am in love with. I am a little car crazy because thoughts of getting a 240z or 280z have entered my mind. I currently have a 350z but love the classic lines of the 240z. PS Hey 2003z. I followed you here also. .
