New Forum
http://www.nzdatsun.com/ and go to the forums. The New Zealand Datsun Incorporated Society now has a new website and forum, it doesn't show up on google yet so thought I would let you guys know direct. Obviously it is mainly about NZ but it also contains some collected info from around the net, if you recognise any of your own work, please let us know. Cheers Damon

Debate! "Colour of the Z"
Yeah, what Chris said, although I also like the red/blue/white BRE combination.

Yes I know I don't have a Z
Yeah, although the people who think they need them decide later on that it's not what they want, I can't think why :cheeky: Thanks James for the offer to practice on your car. Might just do that and try some new techniques that I have been working on :stupid:

We have had a few Natural disasters, but I don't recall any Lava Flows, We did get a Lahar at Tangiwai, which caused the biggest rail accident in New Zealands history. Your right, there are lots of motorsport events here, which includes old cars like Datsuns, Toyotas, and Fords. Infact the Datsun Owners Club of New Zealand is having its annual meeting in Dunedin for the Southern Festival of Speed, in which they hold classic motorsport races.

Don't be sorry, I enjoyed the link, it was/is a nice car. If you do decide to come to New Zealand, the south island is by far the best.

Syncho Problems??
It certainly sounds like a synchro problem, like Gav said, eventually you will have to rebuild the box, there are some light weight oils available that can make this type of problem go away, I have heard some people put ATF in, which is alot lighter than the synthetic gear oil, some manufacturers even recommend it for manual transmissions. It's a cheap alternative to try anyhow.

Yes I know I don't have a Z
Thanks for that, I think I remember reading about that some years ago.

Yes I know I don't have a Z
Well that starts another whole discussion on whether the 1200 Ute is in fact a ute, due to the tray part being part of the body. and if anyone is actually interested in that discussion Click here

Yes I know I don't have a Z
I was just teasing, I know it's been a heated discussion about who the Z was actually manufactured for, personally I don't really care. But if I was to buy one it would be a RHD one, just because they are easier to drive here in New Zealand. I am always interested in history about cars, But like most people take the easy road and watch it on TV:cheeky: But yeah, fill me in, I'm keen to hear why some are left and some are right.

Yes I know I don't have a Z
Yeah, shouldn't be down for too long:classic: I possibly would at some stage, but due to just purchasing a house, the Z has been pushed down the list, typical isn't it?

Yes I know I don't have a Z
It's not a real one, as the steering wheel is on the wrong side, :cheeky: But thanks for the link, it looks pretty nice. Thanks for the kind words about my ute, things always look better in pictures. Hi Mike and Michael , thanks for the tip about the search function Michael

Yes I know I don't have a Z
I'm just waiting for the right one! Hello people, My name is Damon, as you can see down there :cross-eye , Thought it might be rude of me to view these forums without at least saying hello. I spend most of my time at the Datsun owners club forums. So if anybody knows of a series 1 240Z going real cheap and in mint condition let me know :stupid: I know at some stage I'll end up asking a question, that has been answered many, many times before. If this happens feel free to mock, I would :lick:
