i know very little of the S30 design history, and what country it was marketed at specifically,but i think the position of the handbrake gives alot away.Corresct me if im wrong?What side of the road do the Japanese drive on?Ive not been there so do not know.

efi relay is in the car,not under the bonnet? Bad fusables will corrode and give out,so replace them first then start looking if the problem comes back.

yep.I have a fairlady Z and put a 260z dash in it,theres a few things to do,swap the harness is about 5mins work.

Hi guys. I finished my rebuild on the car and put the l28e I had into it replacing the l20aE. The porblem im having is,it misses once to operating temp and wont pull past 4500rpm.When its cold,it doesnt miss at all,just when warm. Im thinking it could be the standard dizzy I had so swap over from the L20e,I also had to keep the ECU and AFM from the L20e unit. Im going to check the pressure reg and filter later today,and look at converting to the ZX dizzy I have (e12-90?). Do you guys have any idea what the problem could be? Anyways,heres a pic of her as it sits.

I have a GS31 2+2 for sale.As in my avatar,but just done a 4yr rebuild/rust removal and total bare steel repaint in the original white with a subtle pearl added

with 20yrs of crashwork behind me....wouldnt worry about that,its cosmetic at most.You can feel safe no integrity has been lost.

try adjusting the striker plate/catch around a little.Put a glob of grease on the door latch and gently clost till you feel the first point of contact between the catches,open and see where the grease is,this will tell you which way to move your plate and such.

after 20yrs in the paint biz,i agree with all of Z's comments. A good hint is to hold a sponge over your panel to keep the "Slops" off it,just keep rewetting the sponge in a large bucket of water....comes in handy when youre wet-rubbing at 7am when its close to 0deg C outside,boil the jug empty into your bucket and enjoy warm hands.

DONT give up. I just finished a 3yr rebuild on my Gnose,it would have gone to the razor factory if I hadnt got hold of it. As mentioned,just step away and take a break. Motivation can come in spurts,especially when you see someone elses project taking shape. Stick at it Zed brother!!!!

I am also having trouble with the same relay. Mine buzzes in the ACC position,at the same time the rev counter spikes to 2g,and my power windows dont work while the key is in that position. For a new relay from japan is around $120 (nz) about $80 US id say. It almost sounds like the lights buzzer when I turn the key to the ACC position,but once the car is running,everything seems fine...its got me stumped.??

I know this is an old thread,,but im wondering if my C-GS31 should have power mirrors with the power windows? And would the Gnose I have possibly been put on in Japan? Cheers

If Z kid cant make you any,i have a set of moulds ive just made and am in the middle of running off one set of flares (thanks to a generous member (NZeder)for lending me the originals to make moulds from.

I know you guys in the US know alot about the s30 as it is labled over there,but who can tell me the build date of my C-GS31 fairlady Z. Ill post the chassis number tomorrow.cheers and beers.
