  1. I believe this would be the same vehicle, he bounces the ads back and forth between the Miami and Orlando sites. http://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/ctd/1326724788.html

Seems to me there's one individual with his nose higher in the air and thumping his chest louder than all the others combined! As far as #13 goes, what's all the hoopla about. Wasn't it already accounted for and who owned it, but no one knew for sure where he lived? It wasn't a complete unknown, unaccounted for, hasn't been seen since the early 70's car.
  3. Maybe you're right! I find it objectionable when people toss in personal zingers to the discussion.
  4. Once again, the "kill the thread" genie has popped out of the bottle. Why...because ya'll don't like the contents or agree with his comments? He apparently feels the needs to rant about the quality of a part he purchased from a vendor and unless he breaks some site rule about posting here, he has every right to do so. :bulb: If anyone agrees or disagrees with his rant, feel free to add your 2 cents or just ignore it, it's your choice.

Can you post some underside pic's of the seats you want to install?

Back in the mid to late 80's. I mounted a set of the BMW recaro's in my 72 and as I recall, it really wasn't all that difficult. (Sorry, no digital camera's back then) Using 2 flat pieces of steel (1/4" x 2 or 3" x ?/Forgot length) I laid them out and moved them around on the underside of the recaro's until they were in such a position that would allow them to be bolted to the frame of the recaro and yet have available space for holes to be drilled in them to accept the Z's rails (just take mearurements of the holes that the Z's rails fit into on the underside of the Z seats and transfer those to the plates for your drilling points, as I think they're different from the measurements of the floor mounting points.) Don't know if this will help much, but thought I'd throw it out there anyway. Happy Motoring!

  20. I have 2 NOS switches but after checking them out, they're for the 72 model. Just a thought, as I've never taken one of these apart, but maybe you could find a good working switch and swap the toggle pieces?

Don't really think you need to amend your original statement as that was your opinion and anyone who disagreed with it was/is free to share with us what they felt is "the nicest collection". Funny, no ones done that yet.

In response to #2, NOS metal emblems should fit somewhere in the cost/weight ratio.
  23. New ones are in the $370-$380 range. Just sold one to a friend for $300 w/ no dents.
