A sign of the times?
I remember seeing that car at Les' shop when Bill bought it. It was a complete beautifully restored car, as a matter of fact I own the motor that came out of it, of course it is at Miguel's shop.

Monterey Historic Races August 2018
I pitted with those two cars that my buddy owns. It was truly a great 4 days for me. So many great Datsun/Nissan race people there. The famous and the not famous. Morton did great in his class, but Larry Cooper was right up there too in his 240 witha 2.4 ltr E88 head. He drove the wheels off it. All and all it was a weekend to remember. Thursday night had a great conversation with Jim Frederick, always great to see him. A special weekend indeed. Sent from my [device_name] using http://Classic Zcar Club mobile

Deja Vu: 1971 Restoration
Watching Barrett Jackson this weekend they said that there are 2 different types of restorers: 1 just the way they came off line and 1 who prefer to make them better than they came off the line. It is all about owner and restorier's choice of how they want the car to be. Both ways have their positives and negatives. I for one would only go with 2 stage for the reasons Rich stated. RIP Victor Laury
RIP Victor, it was a pleasure to know you. This was one of his vehicles as well; he gave it away on this site almost 12 years ago. I responded first and got it for my buddy, he recently gave it to another buddy who owns a paint/body/customs shop. The new owner wants to get it ready for JCCS this year, this news will motivate him more to have it there to represent.

Recommended car cover
BRE sells a really nice one that is a custom fit for the Z car. I got a really nice one at Costco the other day, I got size small (no custom fit) and it works great for now. Seems to be of good quality it was only $30. Category_Code=car_covers

New member here from the island of Guam.
I bought my Infiniti G35 Sport Coupe from the dealer in Upper Tumon; I got the car in March of 03 and sold it March 16. I remember the 240 in the showroom it is HSL30-62850, Gold/Black car 01/71. I know the car; I dealt with Brian Downey when I bought my car because the Infiniti guy Willie Forbes would not return my emails. I is a real beautiful. I am surprised by the condition of your car; rust free which says a lot for there. All the Datsun cars I ever owned there were rusty. In 92 I bought this 280ZX that was hit on the side, finding rust free parts was so hard. Once we fiberglassed and bondo'd the car we painted it ourselves at Anderson AFB, they had a paint booth at the Hobby Shop. We got the car for $500, door for $50 at a Dededo junkyard, painted it for like $200 and then sold it for $3000. Car sold in a day. Great times on Guam; lived there 7 years in my Naval career.

Draw through carb turbo setup
I will stop by and take some pictures of it; I figured it was not a one off kit and was curious of how many others sere out there and working. I am sure they are not great runners based on the set-up but I have some guys here in San Diego that love the pull through systems, so of course they will be my point guys on getting this running. I have $10k in body and paint to do on this car, then about another $10K on motor and maybe like $5K in the interior. Not sure if this car finished is worth $30K, it is a 71.

Draw through carb turbo setup
Mine has not run since the 90s, it is project in wait at my friend's body shop. I will be honest my starting point is a little better, the turbo is not locked up. My car has a 3 piece Gnose on it and big fiberglass over fenders. I have to go by my friend's shop and take some pictures of it.
