Powder Coating Costs
Looks good interesting color choice. My wife complains about all the powder coating I get done, she said I would powder coat her if she stood still long enough. I plan to get all the same parts done for my car, I hope I pay less than 500 large.

I'm looking for rear bumper end caps for my 76
Do you really like those bumpers? If not I would recommend going with the chrome bumper. In Japan they did not use the bumper that you have on your car. If your goal is to keep it 100% original then you might have to bite the bullet pay the price, used ones will be brittle due to age and exposure to the elements.

They are not, it is just packaging. Some are in clear packages and some in boxes.

Found 1972 Survivor with 5,400 Miles?
$30K sounds fair to right buyer. I wonder what it would pull going accross the auction block at a Mecum Auction? That would be a perfert candidate for John Kraman to go on and on about. I think it would pull good money if put up in Mecum Monterery in August.

The great TEXAS Z Car (and foreign Car) rally - 2011
- Let's see some wheels!
I got a set of vintage 15' Wats too. Mine have the original metal center caps. I should take a picture and post them too. I have to decide which set I want on the car...these SSRs or those awesome Wats.- Let's see some wheels!
My set will not set you back $2K that is for sure. This set is 15X8, I will have to check the offset but when they were on the car they fit perfectly in the wells, without over fenders.- Let's see some wheels!
My restored SSR Reverse Mesh wheels. They are 15's that came off my 71Z. The centers have been recently powdercoated in metalic silver 2 stage. The rims are freshly polished to a high shine. I also used new Stainless Steel hardware. They can be taken from me for the right offer.- 240z Gas Caps are Outrageous! Locking?

My buddy owns a company that puts in Industrial Floors www.advancedsurfacescorp.com, he recently came out to San Diego to do my other buddy's garage floor. My friend taught me how to do the primer and then how to do the top coat with used a 10mm squeggie for thickness. The floor turned out great, only one little problem apparently fly like the epoxy. We put down the primer on Friday afternoon and laid the top coat the next morning. It was ready to be walked on by early the next day. We did not lay any media for either non-skid or speckles. It was really fun learning how to do the garage floor from a pro. I will be doing my floor next, thinking of laying in a big Datsun emblem.- MOTORSPORT AUTO is the BEST!
I like Aaron he is a solid guy, a prorfessional- Stop!.............................
They are out according another post I read here.- Arne answers questions.
Check out Thunderranch's Speedster's or Spiders, they both are really nice. If you really want something that will go up in price check out Thunderranch's 904 replica. A really Posche 904 sold at auction for $12 Million. www.thunderranch.com Thunderranch does make some cool custom Z parts too as well as the Ferrari 250 kit.- W. Edwards Deming
I learned all about Deming, back in the early 90s when the U.S. Navy decided to adopt the TQM for leadership development. The Navy called it TQL, Total Quality Leadership. The classes were great and I use the ideas to this day. I believe in constant process improvement.- "White" seat covers?
I am very interested in those covers, they match the color of my door panels and headliner in my 73. I agree with Jerry; Les at Classic Datsun has beautiful white seat covers. I saw him put a white interior in a car and looked just like your picture.- W. Edwards Deming
Dr. Deming the father of TQM, Total Quality Management. He believed in constant process improvement. He tried to sell his advice to American industry, but got no love so he took his training to Japan, and in there lies why Datsun owners care if Dr. Deming ever lived. He was responsible for Japan produces quality cars.- Motorsport Auto heater control panel
I saw and touch all the parts at JCCS that Jay commissioned to be remanufactured. They all looked almost like the factory originals. I told Jay that I will be buying some of his parts for sure.- 1973 240Z Refreshtoration – 901 Silver
What was the final selling price? I know the quality of the job, Rich has set the bar.- 71 240Z. Another dashboard restoration.
Love the Avatar by the way, the work on the dash is just as impressive too. I might want to steal your avatar for my facebook page.- Renewed rims..
I just did the same thing with a set of SSR Reverse Mesh wheels. I gotta put the centers back in and see how they look compared to this set. I did my centers in silver metalic two stage powder coat and had the rims polished. If you don't mind me asking; how much did this restore cost? Mine was $220 in powder coat and $160 in polishing, plus $80 for new stainless allen head bolts. I plan to sell them for $1k. - Let's see some wheels!
