“Best Survivor” should be front and center in 2014 and not forgotten about.

    A molded kit or sectional?

Les also now has a JDM style Spook that they call a chin spoiler. That looks really cool on the car; and is a rare find. I believe only Les sells them, I got two from him.

I will not get there until the 19th and I am driving the G35 Sport Coupe instead of the Z. I want to be comfortable. I think I am going to miss the car show too.
  6. That trim ring is stainless, I think. I have a set for a G-nose and the ring is stainless.

Or as we call them "tribute" cars.
  8. You called about them???? I had the message but screwed up by deleting the message instead of saving it or I would have sold them to you. I did not know it was you who called. I am so sorry.
  9. I got mine all in it's original shipping material. I open it up once or twice a year, look at and and then put it back. I have a closet full of Tamiya unbuilt F1 car kits, both 1/12 and 1/20 along with my Z models. My wife says the day I die she is throwing all that out, including my New in the Box Franklin Mint Z. After that she is moving out the garage and doing the same to all my Z parts.
  10. I wanted to do that too. It takes an 82 Maxima with the electronic over drive. I know that you have to change drive shafts as well. Do a search on this site, I think you will fi.nd the info you need.

    No comprende?
  12. That is funny, but a little be true. I cannot imagine how much you paid for it plus shipping. The build is coming along so awesome; I cannot wait to see the video of it running.
  13. All smart moves from my point of view, the car will give you many more years of solid running now.
  14. Took the entire front suspension, steering rack and crossmember off the 71 this weekend. I want to prep it for paint, I got new ball joints, rack boots, tie rod ends, rack bushing and wheel bearings ready to go in. Should look and work great. This coming weekend we plan to Lizard skin the interior. We will apply the heat shield and sound. Off to paint before the end of the month.
  15. Check the two hoses that connect to the AFM, if you got a break in them it could cause the problems you speak of. I have brand new in the box Nissan CSVs too.
  16. Navy Veteran here; we always had Auto Hobby Shop or as the Marines and Air Force call them Auto Skills Centers on the bases where I was assigned. You can go there and rent a booth to work on your car. The Hobby Shop loans you all the tools you need. My buddy and I are doing a Resto-Mod to a 71Z at the Auto Skills Center on the Marine Recruit Depot here in San Diego. Does your Army Post have a Hobby Shop/Auto Skills Center?
  17. If it is broke you fix it, bottomline.

What else is good on that car? The rear bumper looks good.
  19. Nice website. I was looking for the engine hardware kit, I did not see it in the products offered.

That unit is very much like the one I just took out of our 71. It looks very period correct for the dealer added option.
  21. Check with the DMV, if everything is in order it should be easy if it was once registered in Cali.
  22. Crazee, good to see you come around. There are many great suppliers of parts for your car expecially a member of this board J of jdm-car-parts.com is a good source. Keep it original and I think you will be very happy with it.
  23. I am horrible with pictures; I take pictures with my cellphone and never download them to anywhere. We have 2 projects going a resto-mod on a 71Z and taking an old 67 Roadster SCCA race car. The Roadster sat in a garage in the Denver area since 94 and and in my garage since 2010. I am currently putting on new springs and shocks on it. Both cars are a joy to work on.
  24. Nice, quality tank for sure.
