and it's been covered again....what's the problem with that? Got nothing better to do than complain about a thread on public message board? I am not one to back down and run away and hide like others who do farewell messages. So many nice people on this board than you get one like this.

I was thinking the same thing, If it is a BRE built motor; How much for it?

Right on Mike, I think you might be right. It looks to be s simple fix and I should get on it real soon...I hate wasting gas. It also could be the red circle area because it did leak one time after a fill up when I parked it on an incline on my driveway. Both are accessable so I will check them both out. Thanks again for the input.

Thanks that seems to be the right thread.

This thread got me to use the search feature to find out why when I fill my 73 I get a leak....but only when the tank is full after I burn off a gallon or two it no longer leaks. I could not find any former talks of that using the search....it also leads to fumes in the car too of course. I seems to be leaking from the top of the tank and not any of the sides. Opinions? or shoud I search with the search feature more? Or did I just high jack?

I thought Eibach made them in yellow many years ago. I don't know for sure, I just kinda remember that.
  8. Welcome, former Keystone State born and raised (Coopersburg) here; best of luck on your project. I always wished my pops would have offered up a father and son project when I was 16. My current Z is a PA car as well and I live in the land of rust free Zs. Mine came from Springtown PA. There are so many great resources for you, MSA, Black Dragon, local Nissan Dealer, Courtesy Nissan, Classic Datsun, and much more. What is the plan total restore or resto-mod? Good luck and congratz.
  9. A poster here once stated that automatics tend to me less molested and pampered more often...so having repeated that; I would guess that would be a main reason it is in such good shape.
  10. Really liked your car, great car with a great history. The San Diego Z Club meets next Tuesday at the Denny's on Clairmont Mesa BLVD in the Clairmont Square Mall. I am sure the other club members would really like to see it too.
  11. Love the NHRA, a great weekend event for sure. I attend the Finals at Pomona. Have fun and I hope some Z car guys show up.
  12. Had a great time, wish the awards went faster and that they would tell what the car is that wins vice just the entry number. The raffle was great, paid $10 and walked off with at Momo T-shirt and a $150 prothane kit so I was happy, would have loved to have won the Carbs. It was great day to get out and see some great cars in a really nice setting. Meeting guys and talking about our cars is always great fun.
  13. I think it was covered here...but it is Mobil 1 commercial
  14. I am in contact with the owner, arranging a look see...he is not down with tire kickers and people without money. I just want to see it and get a report back to you guys....I don't have the cash for it right now.
  15. I was considering checking it out regardless. I will reply to the add and go get a look at it. The price is right.
  16. Lizard Skin works well too.
  17. So you do understand the time and money thing with #213. I think you have good plan with the idea of purchasing and saving the car for a later date. I was thinking that too. Good luck with it. Get us some pictures of #213.
  18. It is up to you, but I think it can be fixed. You are going to have big job ahead but in the end it will be worth it. I guess the biggest question you have to ask yourself is: Can I afford it and do I have the time, if the answer to both of those questions is yes, then go for it but if the answer is know, sell it the car whole to someone who can afford to restore it. I saw a car from Malasia here on this board (or was it Hybridz?) that was in pretty rough shape, that guy was able to get it looking pretty good. Everything you need to restore is available.
  19. 45 as of the 14th of this month....my wife wishes I would act my age now.

If you need colored door panels, Les at Classic Datsun has a beautiful kit with the chrome strip and all. He only has skins so you will need good panels to make it happen. I believe the kit goes for under $300 for both sides. I saw a set of white he at the shop that were reapplied to an old panel, they looked awesome.
