Motorsport Auto sells them too. I got a set from them back in September, it was not much money either. I too retro fitted an earlier bumper to a 73. In order for it to fit tight to the body you are doing to have to drill new holes in the bracket. I believe it is like a 1/4 inch forward of the current holes. You will however like the fit and look of the earlier bumper vice the 73. I like the way mine looks now compared to original 73.
  2. I recommended it to Mohamed (BuDavid). He is looking for new Z for himself there in Bahrain. He could get this one, pay to have a few up grades to it, then ship it off to Bahrain. It might be right in his budget.
  3. I saw a post the other day with a rusted out 72 picked up in PA with the NOS body panels. I think the guy who bought it and towed home lives in New York. Here is link to the story about the car. The NOS panels are worth trying to pry away from this guy: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=126656
  4. Yeah it was....and it was real sweet. I had a friend in Japan who had two of those Eunos Cosmos, one was all tricked out and one was just like the one in the background of Stephen's picture. Looking at it brought back great memories. To Ron: Congrats on another honor for your fine Z. How was your weekend at the festival of speed in NAS North Island? I was there with the Z club early Sunday morning but had to get going by noon so I missed the finals. I saw the Z displayed there, it looked great as always.

This car is the one that was restored by one of the posters on this board? The one that was found wasting away in desert? I know the restoration was top notch.

I told her about a perfect set here in San Diego. They are on a car and the owner was willing to part with them. He is many Zs and many parts so he said he would do his part....but to date she has not contacted me or him about the wheels. They are exactly the ones she wanted, they are on a 280Z and they have 32 fins like Steve pointed out. The seller Lenny is a nice guy, president of the local Z club and willing to sell what more can she ask for?

Sorry to hear about you loss, hope all is well with you. Did I understand that you are now going to keep the car? That sounds like some good news if I understood it correct. If you are keeping the car and would like some help time to time, I would recommend to you to join the Z club of San Diego. There are many great guys and girls in the club that would help out a fellow club member. PM me is you are interested, I will hook you up with the meeting place and the website. Sounds like you have a Z worth keeping for many reasons.
  9. Drop me a PM of how much you are willing to pay. I think it would be smart to get one that is complete the way you want it. It will be much cheaper for you in the long run to get it shipped fixed up with the parts you want on it rather than get one, then get the parts shipped to you to be put on. Do you know what I mean? I know few candidates. My friend just sold a real nice 78 that would have been perfect for you.
  10. What is plan on getting it to Bahrain? Are you going to get the car in the states or there in your area?

    or even better; L320 parts.
  13. Motorsport of Orange. Check the banners on top to get to the website.
  14. This old thread is very interesting to me. I have this part in my garage: it is brand new still in the original Nissan plastic bag. I will have to get it out and look it over to see what kind of handles it has. I will not be using it on my current projects because one is a 73 no place on the counsel for it and the 71 is getting tripple Mikuni's and not going to have a counsel. No I am not going to sell it either....I think the longer I keep it the more it is worth.

Last night I attended the Z club of San Diego meeting....afterwards in the parking which is were the real meeting is, I noticed that our President Lenny has the Western Turbine wheels on one of his cars. I asked him if he would sell them and he said "no problem". I told him there was a nice looking girl in Indiana that was looking for a set and he said have her call me. Lenny can be contacted via the website: http://www.zcsd.org/. If interested contact Lenny he will sell them to you.
  16. Check out this source: http://www.takumiproject.com/ I also have a set of 15x8.5 (4) with brand new tires for sale. I will be offering them at JCCS 07 at the Queen Mary on Saturday.
  17. I replaced both my door handles plus put in a new lock set. I took the windows out to do the job it was real easy without the windows in the way. So while I had everything apart I greased up everything real nice.

Thanks Arne... I almost forgot about Datsun Spirit's products. They are little pricey but they are OEM looking. I will see if Les sells the same product. I know he is more a 240 guy but still needs to make some money.

The carpet I removed was real nice and thick. I was dry rotted from sitting for 10 years....besides while it was stored outside a few furry friends made it home...so who knows how much rat pee was there too.

A few months ago I purchased a carpet kit from MSA for a 78Z from MSA. Today I finally got around to doing the install...let me tell you I HATE THE KIT:sick:. It is a total piece of crap. Of course it is going back. I want a kit that is more like the original. I want it with the cut outs for the seat belts the shifter etc... I don't want to have to cut holes for all this. Please give me some solid advice on where I going to get such a quality kit. I got a call out to Les at Classic Datsun. I know he can supply one for a 240 but the 280 is what I am working on.

  23. The S30 G-nose is 2 pieces. My daughter took the digital camera with her to college so I can't take photos for you guys at this time. I will email more info to Azcarbum direct with more info.
  24. I believe it is a killer kit that is real rare and a great JDM look. I got a few examples of it in my gallery. The kit that I am installing will be done with rivits vice filling in the gaps like in your example. Both ways look great. http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=10665
  25. I have the Arita kit in garage ready to go on my project car. I got the kit from my friend who shipped it from Japan to Nashville when he moved from Nissan Tokyo to Nissan USA then he shipped it to me from Nashville to San Diego which was very expensive. I have two of everything including the light covers(Nissan parts) except for only one G-nose its self. The kit is not a perfect fitting item either. It will take a lot of work to make it look like the one in the picture that azcarbum posted. The duplicated parts that I have are knockoffs of the Arita kit, they were reproduced by my who has a tuner shop in the Yokohama area. I think the kit looks great when it is done, it is just a lot of work to install and very expensive to ship.
