Its finally painted!!!!!
Well, 4 years after I bought my Z and joined this forum, I finally sent my Z away to get repainted. After much pondering over what color to paint her, I decided that I just could not change the color from the original stock 919 Yellow! I worked out a deal with a local collision shop that I would strip the car down to the axles, and they would do the body work and painting. I just got the car back on December 31st. Here is a brief photo history of the car:

POR-15... everything?
I believe this has been brought up before, but I'm bringing it up again. What would be that advantages and disadvantages to using POR-15 on the outer and inner body panels? I was thinking of coating the inside of all of my body panels, and maybe the outside, and just wanted some advice and/or cautions. Mart

Fuel Tank Strap
Is the tie down strapping made of metal? If not, how do you weld it to the former strap ends? If you have any pictures it would help. I do have access to a welder, so it wouldn't be a huge deal.

Fuel Tank Strap

Fuel Tank Strap
One of my fuel tank straps on my 240z is broken, and I need to find a replacement. I am currently using a 280z tank for an L28 swap. The only place that I have found that sells tank straps is TheZStore.com but they are for the 280Z, and they're 30 bucks a piece!!. Is there any where else to get these, and/or will these fit my car? I've checked Courtesy Nissan, Zparts.com, and Rockauto as well and I can't find anything.

New Z
The turbo motor was installed with the correct ECU, but the wiring job is a bit sketchy. Interestingly, the owner is giving me a video of the engine installation, which may be helpful in the future. The whole car needs to be rewired, but that's a feat that I am willing to tackle.

New Z
Well, tell me if I overpaid... I paid $2000 for the Z as shown, along with all the original parts, an air dam, two different spoilers, two set of wheels, and countless parts from other Z's that the former owner owned. He is actually shipping a truckload of parts to my house, and I will inventory them shortly. In the meantime, if there is any parts you need- wheels, radiators, etc, from a 240 260 or 280, I might have it. He also has the original engine, which I would grab but have nowhere to put.
