I must say this 26 part anime is fantastic. Might be old news to some but i dont know how the people of intial d can make something so good and intial d sucks so bad as far as art. I have a full translated version of the series and even with my broken Japanese it is translated pretty good. the music the art the cgi its all fantastic. I will now seek out the original manga. I know there is a live movie in affect but it wont hold a candle to the anime i am sure. The orginal live action also well um....kinda sucked. -
If the s30 was turbo it would be more like wangan midnight. Maybe some cones in the straights for them to dodge to represent cars. -
I get your point and maybe I should have cleared this up before but I am not trying to get information to use my 240 for street racing. I just really enjoy the old japanese car culture and would like to learn more about it. aswell as that I know of a few highway (wangan) racing Z's from around that period and I would just like to collect a few cool old school street racing pictures from japan 😉 -

I'm not sure alot of that would matter, if the Porsche's nose was wandering, imagine what the Z would be like at the same speed. Would the turbo necessarily do anything for top end or just improved acceleration? (I'm unashamedly turbo technology challenged)

You're dedicated, I just farted around until they showed the Z. I'll bet a screenplay could be written for Wangan Midnight that would be a great movie, a cult classic today, not 20 years ago. Script would be in japanese too i imaging. if you go to wikipedia and search for wangan, it gives a pretty good background as to whats going on in the movie. -
I'm downloading it now. I love Wangan Midnight. I found out about it when the arcade game came to my local arcade. I cried when they took it out about a month later because of low revenue... I always got to play as the Devil Z because I knew the special code... -

my japanese friend who has a 240z, said this movie is really bad (not good) and the story line sucks... -
Fun movie, not too thrilling though. I found myself trying to figure out the plot, around which I assume the Z is the hingepin.

I recon we just email sbs and ask them to show the movie. That way they would translate it. and i could copy it from my hdtv tuner card. Tell them its a cult movie and they might go for it.
