  1. My painter did a little correction on a paintjob..(rear bumper.). and finished with a good cleaning.. this was years ago.. He damaged the black sticker and the Nissan sign on the rear .. (in a carcleanershop with to much pressure on the HPcleaner.) I investigated the prices the long black sticker $76,97 ex.. the nissan sticker $53,13 and twinturbo costs $42,52 thats $172,62 And excl. VAT.. and shipping... and then customs.. mmm nice work painter.. De nieuwe 500 la Prima Rij weg in de stadsauto van de toekomst: De nieuwe Fiat 500. fiat.nl Is there a cheaper solution? Yes a "300zx fairlady" sticker on the back instead of the nissan and twinturbo sticker this one costs about 18-19 dollars .. That would be Japanees original but not europe original... i don't know if that's a problem? Anyone other ideas?

  8. Bought a 85 300zx base model with 96k miles. Ran decently for 2 months until the tranny blew. When I drained her I saw multiple teeth, a washer, a screw and shavings galore. I couldnt find any worthwhile transmissions to purchase so I decided to cut out the middleman and attempt to rebuild it myself. I'm only 19 and have been working on cars for less than a year so I can definetly learn it but I need some guidance as to where I should look for learning material and if there is anything in particular I should know before I start dissembling. My tranny is already out and I split it from the bell housing and where the stick shift is. Thanks in advance. Also a bearing got completely destroyed near the idle gear and my clutch also got destroyed

  12. For sale is an original 1986 Nissan 300ZX purchased from the dealer by my mom. The car comes with all of the original paperwork, original radio (which has been removed), and any other associated documentation we have. Our goal is to get the car to a good home where it will be loved and appreciated. We have enjoyed this car as a family for over 30 years and it's time for the next chapter in the car's life. It was stored in a garage or storage unit for much of its life and is in overall good condition. Runs and drives well New battery Oil change within the last two months Passed SMOG within the last two months Current California registration with new plates (vanity plates removed) Known issues: The car was placed in storage after a series of heavy rains lead to some water exposure in the interior. A body shop tested the t-top channels and noted they were draining water properly. They also inspected the weatherstripping and noted no defects. At this time we're unsure as to how or why the interior was exposed to water, but there appears to be no permanent damage and we just store the car inside. Passenger side window does not roll up and down properly. Dent in right front quarter panel from bicyclist (pictured). Please call, text, or email me with inquiries. 16. Hello there, I am currently on the hunt for a long nose R200 differential! Ideally I would like a 4.1 CLSD. However I will happily settle for a 3.9 CLSD. I seem to be having poor luck with local yards and shops and decided to drop back in here as I scavenge. Additionally It would be wonderful if anyone has a 280z mustache bar from a part out! ... Or anywhere really, my swap budget has been exceeded already (probably not surprising)! Any direction or advice is greatly appreciated! Note: I'm a Canadian resident and I'm willing to ship for the right part! Thanks, Wesley

  18. Ive recently picked up a 86' 300zx non-turbo trans (5speed) nd I have the 77' 280z bellhousing on it. but with the bellhousing on it will not shift into any gears except 5th (Possibly reverse if its a dogleg or whatever they call it). So what could be a problem? The shift rods clear the rod holes in the bellhousing and everything. but it wont shift. with the bellhousing off though, it shifts fairly well. any help would be great as I need this car running for going to work.
  19. I always wanted a 240Z, wound up with a 280Z, fell in love with the 300ZX Twin Turbo in 1990 when I read Motor Trend's article. I even won a $20 bet that the new Z would smoke the Ford Mustang, which was a big deal back then as I was just a kid. But anyway, I posted a video on youtube hybridizing two old Nissan ads for the Z32 over some Filter music. My old title for the vid was talking about Barbie and Ken and I think I attracted some pre-teen girls who didn't think very fondly of my participation in the youtube community. Anyway I thought some of you fellow Z-heads would appreciate it more. It combines a few ads; one where the Z-driver is dreaming about being chased, the other is the Toys commercial where GI Joe picks up Barbie at the mansion. Hope some of you folks like it!
  20. Can you use a Borg Warner T5 5 speed from a 300zx in a early model 1971 240Z? I have searched but have found any info saying what differences are between the 81-83 Borg Warner T5 and the ones from 300zx's. Is it doable? I have read the zgarage procedure and it doesn't mention the later versions of the bwt5.
